MVG vs The Power just about to start.
 
I had the cricket on but by the sounds of it MvG was well below the form he's shown over the last few months. Shame.

Wright vs Taylor and Barney vs Hamilton in the semis. Hamilton generally bottles it in these games, he's good enough to beat Barney but he doesn't have the temperament on the biggest stage. Wright will be lucky to get three legs.
 
When I turned on after 5 legs or so, MVG was averaging 107 and Taylor 113
 
5-5 between Barney and Hamilton at the break. Neither man anywhere near his best, both averaging well under 100.
 
Superb 132 from Hamilton (25-T19-Bull) and he leads 8-5 now....if he doesn't beat him this time, he never will.
 
8-8. Bloody hell Hamilton, every time.
 
Then wins against the throw with a 12 darter....didn't see that coming because he was throwing like a drain.

Hold and he's through.
 
Of course he bloody doesn't. 9-9, Barney with the darts to win it.
 
And Barney contrives to miss five match darts! 10-9 Hamilton. Really weak standard that all told.
 
10-5 Taylor in the second semi. Always a formality but Wright actually played a lot better than either Hamilton or Barney did.
 
11-4 Taylor, never really a contest.

A pretty tame final evening to what was a good tournament before that.
 
Just make sure you book tickets for the right the event though....
 
I''ve actually managed to win a game tonight, probably the 1st time since the charity day. Even managed a 125 checkout in the 1st leg, more by luck than judgment methinks.

Your as bad as my brother with that, he's Hodor obsessed.

I resisted a bemused Hodor? When the double 12 went in. I hit a pretty low ebb darts wise with my peforman've on Thursday night so really pleased to get a win.
 
European Championship starts on ITV4 on Monday, good stuff.

Also Sky's Dave Clark has revealed he has Parkinson's....just thought I'd mention it before Quirk slags him off for being a bit shaky or something. ;)
