In a moment of no shenanigans whatsoever, the BCCI have of course arranged that their final match is the last super 8 game, meaning a) India will know what they must do to qualify, and b) which result will put them up against which semi finalist from the other group.

So ideally we need results to be such that there is real jeopardy of finishing third (at best) in their final match. Go Zimbabwe

England done better than expected really I thought we’d have lost all 3 or at least 2 in the super 8.
We’ve been here before but the limbo of not knowing where you’re playing next is a disgrace.
No other sport would this be acceptable, bit like England in the 6 nations playing all their games at home but changing each venue very last minute.
Nasser Hussain made an excellent point saying yes India pretty much run cricket and there’s no hiding that. However with that comes huge responsibility to look after the game which absolutely are not and are simply taking advantage of their position and it’s a complete abuse of position.
When they’ve destroyed the international game and no one can afford or see it worthwhile to travel to India for another World Cup they might just realised they fucked up.

Pakistan would have going through the motions as soon as SL achieved the net run rate target, so it made a decent finish with both teams having nothing to play for bar the game result.
