The Cricket Thread

Australia are not very good, I don't fancy them to make the final four.

Probably not going to make 200 here.

Cricket at the 2028 Olympics? Not for me

Not fussed, there some weird sports included and not included. Never understood why squash hasn't ever been an Olympic sport.

I always see the Olympics as a chance to give some less published sports gets some exclusivity. Can understand they’re trying to grow the sport in America, pretty sure there’s T20 World Cup games being played their in the near future to.

I'm the same, don't like tennis or golf at the Olympics, mind you I'm not a fan of either of those sports.

Yep, next year.

West Indies play a few ODI/T20 games there regularly (Florida normally) and you have Major League Cricket now too.

Don't think the Olympics is going to help in that respect, more about getting viewing figures from Asia as typically the sub-continental nations don't win very much and especially in the case of India, if they don't win then they don't want to know.

I really enjoy the Olympics but not sports I can watch on Sky sports regularly, love watch lesser known stuff and people who’re blatantly sacrificing a lot just to compete.

As said 100% support taking cricket to new audiences and America is a good place to start.

You wont find a more misunderstood, misinterpreted and frankly disrespected sport than cricket, usually by people who don’t appreciate the level of concentration and bravery that each player goes through.
I don’t like tennis or F1 but fully appreciate the level that required to compete at that level.

A ton for Malan, fifties for Bairstow and Root as England are 232-1 after 34. We should be able to make some ground back with the net run rate in this game.

Livingstone becomes the first England batsman in the tournament not to make double figures. A push to get towards 400 could fall apart here.

It won't matter today, but if Curran is batting at 7 then your tail is too long
