This doesn't work unless the players buy into it 100%, you will get dismissals that look odd all the time.

Go half measures and we don't score 100+ in 15 overs or so as we have.

I get both sides of the argument - live by the sword die by the sword etc, but there's also a logic to the strategy of turning the taps on and off; aggressive to get into a good position, then dogged to frustrate, then aggressive to turn the screw etc

If we're losing a session minimum (likely) then the only way we can win is to get a decent (275?) lead ASAP, otherwise we just won't, not on this pitch and with Mo's already iffy bowling compromised by his injury.
