Jofra Archer is bowling for the lions against England in a warm up game today. Nice to see him getting some kind of fitness but I don’t think we’ll see him outside of t20 or ODI’s for England again

Thats a shame, a genuine fast bowler for the tests is very much needed. Sadly I think we ruined him.

I don't imagine he'll actually play.

Leach will be the main spinner and I imagine Jacks will bat at 7/8 and back him up. We just don't want to send Ahmed back home and potentially bring him all the way back if someone gets injured.

I would rather pick him than have Livingstone bowl an appreciable number of overs in a Test match, he's no good.

Shivnarine had an incredible career both in terms of matches played and records amassed. I must admit that he was one of those players I least liked watching and I generally like the quirky or odd characters or unconventional players. His odd became hard on the eyes.

Livingstone over Jacks feels stupid. He’s a worse bowler and maybe the slogging will come off but he can’t even build an ODI innings so I’m not hopeful

I don’t necessarily think this is a bad thing. If Root does get a sizeable number of overs, I can see him being our leading wicket taker. He bowls some dross but also bowls wicket taking balls much more regularly than Leach

Woke up expect the game to be cancelled, turns out I’ve missed the fastest opening stand in test history (I think that what the scorer on TMS just said - it’s early!).
