Yep, Ioniq 9 is similar. Am in a bit of a pickle really, we like to take pretty long trips as a family in the car but that just not possible now, the options are pretty limited - the Buzz is pretty massive in the flesh too.

I'm looking around for a big EV as my current lease is nearly up. Model Y should be the obvious choice but fuck that. They've even just rolled out the child abuse chat bot in the cars this week.

Well i got the Musk Mobile Y today.

Equally annoying and good is its a great car* to drive. I will be in it a lot so happy it is good.

Getting my head around the vast amount of things on the screen may take a while.

The lady who sorts out the vehicle took great pleasure in showing me you can set the indicators to make a farting noise. I'm not 9 any more but could be useful...

Anyone who has had a Tesla before - It seems to have kept the name the previous owners assigned to it. How da fuck do I change that? Google instructions appear to be for something other than the car I have.

You need to get Tesla to change it's owner, either you need to have the V5 or ask your fleet manager to do it. They should be used to it.

I cannot see where or how to do that even after looking up the instructions. I think I will officially change my name to Sukie, that will be easier.

Such a small thing to get enraged about! I would be moderately zen about that one. Not that I can see myself ever having an EV. The distance between likely charging points over here means you only see them in the cities.

I am much more likely to have a ute with a couple of extra jerry cans on the back with the ute tool box on the tray.

Select the Software tab from the left-hand menu.

From the Tesla App
Open the Tesla app on your phone.
Tap the name of your vehicle at the top left of the main screen.

The App bit doesn't work. I tap on it and it just opens up the product page...click on the name there and it goes back to homepage.

Yep.

Previous owner driver had it locked via a pin! So a few mins sorting that out.

Just use a handle on the front of the glovebox! If it breaks, fifty quid for a new part, tops and a ten-minute fix. Elon's little computer has a brainfart and it is probably a grand to get it talking to your glovebox again.
