Parking on the pavement is already illegal, always has been hasn't it?https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62l18lnd47o
I'd be in favour of this tbh. In Birmingham, pavement parking is becoming quite an issue. There are all types of vehicles on pavements. It's really bad in some areas.
They're also cutting a load of speed limits on main roads from 40 to 30 here. But it'll never be enforced, so is pretty meaningless.
Some drivers round here are ridiculous in how inconsiderate and dangerous they are.
No, only outlawed in London & Scotland I believe.Parking on the pavement is already illegal, always has been hasn't it?
Obviously it's widely ignored so just needs enforcing.

Unless there's local restrictions. No, only outlawed in London & Scotland I believe.
Also if you're causing an obstruction., which you al ost certainly will be.Unless there's local restrictions.
I was being driven home in a friends top of the range VW something or other and it was fitted with a clever LED Matrix headlight set up.This is good news, however the problem will be so many cars on the road with headlights that are problematic for other road users for such a lengthy period of time, as I can't see how they can address the issue of existing cars, unless adaptations are mandated?

Was driving in France earlier this year and learnt you need headlight beam deflectors. Cheap and easy solutionThis is good news, however the problem will be so many cars on the road with headlights that are problematic for other road users for such a lengthy period of time, as I can't see how they can address the issue of existing cars, unless adaptations are mandated?

Yellow headlights also reduced light reflection in fog. I can remember as a child my dad fixing a yellow filter on his car headlights when it was foggy. These were still used into the 60s.Also the yellow wrappers on lucozade bottles were also used as a temporary fix...Can remember driving in France when all cars had yellow headlights. Several reasons for that of course but one was they were supposed to reduce dazzle. Always thought they were pretty cool but tbf was at a time when driving abroad felt pretty exotic.
Seems pretty odd though that the law is allowing a technological advancement through that is creating a real problem.
