The best cover versions thread

There's a couple of Bowie covers by Seu Jorge that are excellent, the space oddity cover by Chris Hadfield is worth it for the video, apart from a couple of snoop dog videos, possibly the highest video ever filmed.
Isn't the best cover ever suspicious minds by elvis?

LIONS - Girl In The North Country (originally Dylan) featured on the Sons Of Anarchy OST.

Gretchen Wilson + Alice In Chains doing Hearts Barracuda is very good

Listened to a couple more of my favourites, Santana..'Black Magic Woman' and 'She's Not There'

A song I only recently discovered is a cover. Madonna's Ray of Light, which is a cover / rework of a folk song Sepheryn (Ray of Light) by Curtiss Maldoon

Prefer the Billy Bragg version personally.

There’s a good live mix up version of it with Kate Nash.

Perfect Day - Duran Duran
White Lines - Duran Duran
Born to Run - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Hurt - Johnny Cash
John the Revelator - Depeche Mode (sort of)

On a festive note, one of the best Christmas songs...

And not festive, but a cracking cover...

I could add a ton of ska covers, but I wouldn't want to bore you all...

I like this Phoenix song featuring Bill Murray from his Netflix Christmas Special a few years ago. It's an old Brian Wilson/Beach Boys tune and you can tell as it's nice and catchy.

Heard a cover of Zombie by Bad Wolves today.

The original is one of my all time favourite songs so it was always going to take something special for me to like a cover version.

Really liked this, brilliant back story to it too.

So you're not going to tell us then ?

Its on the start of the video.

Dolores O Riordan was going to provide the vocals for the bands version of Zombie. Sadly the day she was due to record was the day she passed so they released the song with their own vocals with proceeds going to her children.
