The 12 Days of Christmas Tat: A Festive Blog Series

horrible to relive the kameni incident again. i mean it may not have made that much difference in the end but it just stank at the time.

i hope you're not thinking of putting Isaac in.

Edit: yep, i read it after i mentioned seyi. soz. great read too.

I'm guessing that Robert Taylor and Darren Ferguson will feature.

I admire Deutsch for narrowing it down to 12! Johnson, Ashley and Gallagher could be 3 just made from players we signed from Birmingham, although the latter would be outside of the 28 year window

Please do Steve Corica, pretty please

Robert Taylor has to be in there surely? There are an awful lot of candidates mind.

I've been waiting for someone to ask me that for 20 years:

I've got seven definites at the moment (Jones was one of them) then I need to pick another five off a list of about 15 wankbags who I'm lining up between the crosshairs. It's not in any order so I'll sort it out as I go along.

No Isaac, he wasn't that bad. And it was DJ's fault for not picking him.

i was once in a 5 aside league that Gallagher used to ref in. a very disappointing signing but i reckon there are at least 12 worse. i'd certainly have the other two above him even if he counted.

I think the thing with Gallagher which has always stuck with me (although totally coincidental and not his fault) is we didn't pay Blues what they were due after we went under in 1982. So when they sold Wayne Clarke and Stuart Storer together to Everton a large proportion of the fee went against Storer who was a patsy in the deal and our sell on clause was screwed.....and he was over the hill and a bit crap

yeah i remember that deal. though i'd never have remembered the name of the patsy. i guess you couldn't get away with it now, surely?

No, he was a reserve team forward. We appealed at the time, but as we'd gone bust twice we weren't exactly going to be popular with the FA.

Swansea got taken to CAS by Utrecht earlier this year over Michel Vorm. There was a 30% sell on clause when he signed for Swansea, when they swapped him and Ben Davies for Gylfi Sigurdsson, Vorm was written down with a value of £0 so Utrecht got nothing. Swansea won the case in the end so I guess you can get away with it!

Are you doing loans as well?

I hope shite like Nigel Quashie is in there.

He's one of the many on the possibles. The problem is I never actually saw him play for us :icon_lol: Played three, lost three, all away from home (Reading/Coventry/Burnley) and I didn't go to any of them.

How Mick thought he was the answer to anything I don't know. Temporarily lost the plot.

If you want to understand what he was like:

Think of Coady, subtract the ability to run and the ability to play the odd 40 yard pass. Add in a mixture of Darren Fergueson's ability to hide from a game and you're somewhere close.

Odd. I thought I'd seen him play and can't remember seeing him away from home. Was one of them on TV?

Another good read, though I was a little dissapointed that the 'Paul Jones' featured was not the midfield maestro we managed to prise from Walsall in the late eighties.

Nope.

It was when we went on a wobble of one win in 11 but still never fell off the top as Reading and Blues went to pieces at the exact same time too.

I hope Paul Blades makes an appearance, a truly awful player and makes Roger 'likes a tipple' Johnson look like Beckenbaur.
