Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Yeah if Celta want to keep the £23M we gave them for him and just have him back for free they should be told to fuck off.

López as well. If he doesn't like it, tough. He signed the contract. His agent can find a permanent move for him or he can rot
I would like to see us give Lopez a go in the Champ, but it's hugely unlikely.

Send Angel Gomes back now. Waster with no end product as Marseille full well know.

I don't know much about him, but he isn't starting regularly for Ipswich
My expectations are so low that I really wouldn’t be surprised if our starting midfield for next season were players who were benchwarmers in the Championship this season.

Even more certain is our biggest signing will be signed just before the closure date for Season Ticket renewals approaches. There'll be promises of more similar quality signings but that will become "we tried" by the time the window closes. That said I suspect that anyone wanting a ST will get one anyway, so it probably will be a date to secure your existing seat.

I don't know much about Dan Neil but the clubs exact words to people who went to the last fans meeting were "we are going to punch our way out of the Championship" I doubt the likes of Neil and Che Adams do that so it will be interesting to see what the level of signing is going to be.

Agree. There must be a talent in there somewhere because of all the hype in Spain. Doubtful Rob would discover it anyway, though.

We’ve really missed decent footballers that have time on the ball and can pick a pass. We’ve had fuck all of that this season.

Neil/Adams is probably a step above what we usually would've been after pre Fosun takeover but a good 7 or 8 staircases below what we signed the last time we 'punched our way out'.

Pretty irrelevant if you are 7 stone wringing wet and blown over by a breeze as also seen with A Gomes.

Not that we will top the squad up as we did back then but Ruddy and Bennett were not punching your way out signings nor was keeping Doc and Coady.
