Summer 2026 Transfer Window Thread

Didn’t hang about in wanting to leave the sinking ship. I hope he goes abroad so I don’t have to watch his histrionics again.

A day after the post that said we wanted to keep him.

We’ll have a few weeks of this, no doubt.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a high % of the squad were on the phone to their agents the moment relegation was officially confirmed because they want out. Despite being a huge reason why we find ourselves in this situation in the first place.

Cunts, the lot of them.

It'll be a race to get out of the door, as we won't let all of them go.

Probably see them play their hearts out against Spurs as it'll be a high profile game in the shop window etc.

I wouldn't want us to play anyone who has made such a request already, but I guess that's probably unrealistic

I doubt it. He’s not very good. £10-15m I reckon.
Dunno, I think other coaches will look at him and see, big, strong, athletic, pretty quick.
They'll all think I we can sort his brain farts, plus he's been playing in one of the worst Premier league teams in history.
Don't forget about his long throws😉

A lot of them likely have relegation release clauses too.

Agree. I don’t care about any player leaving. This guy has really disappointed me in particular. And, he is one that others will see some value in and potentially could be an asset under strong management / in a functioning side. He’s also better than Kilman. I’d hope for ‘decent’ money.

Exactly this. How many times have we sold a player who has underperformed or been underwhelming at best here, only to go elsewhere and to look like a completely different player?

Other clubs will look at our squad and think there are certain individuals within it that they can cherry pick and improve, or that they'll work within their own squad. I've seen a discussion on here this morning with us doing the exact same thing with Leicester.

Quite often, the problem is not with the individual themselves, but collectively as a squad and as a group of players, we're just not good enough. We still have some talented individuals in the squad, though - many of which will have a fair few suitors, I'd imagine.

Disclaimer: I still think they are all shitcunts and can all piss off.

Errr?

He literally said last month he wanted to stay.

Of course, I'll believe it when I see it, but that should surely hold more weight than a Colombian reporter when it comes to slagging him off.

He's one of 5/6 I'd want to keep to be honest. Think he could be a very good player.

J Gomes, Andre, Mane and possibly Krejci.
The rest are just bad footballers for the top level and probably very meh at tier 2 in this squad.

I think for every one that we’ve sold and has gone on to be decent there’s another that was highly rated by some who has been awful. For every MGW there’s an Owen Otasowie. I can’t actually think of many others that we’ve released that have done better than expected.

Nah. This is just one who, despite his absurd antics and us for sure being better off shot now, can play at a higher level, will have suitors in various leagues, and the money will work for us. He’s gone.

They don’t all tick those boxes so it’s bye bye to the ones who do.

Mosquera pisses me off - pleased he wants out, don't get into an argument with the door on your way out, Yerson.
