Out of interest who says this? Genuinely - I’ve never seen it, but I’m only on here. Other than, genuinely again, people who tend to be defensive of Bad Hand Bob.

I say it but more in a piss take way (although you can see his influence in how we have set up recently in a Nuno-esque stylee but with shitter players)

Hopefully you take it in the right spirit that I wasn’t including your ones! I’ve just never heard it. Sounds like a straw man - on here at any rate.

When we had our (mini) upturn in form there were plenty of comments on here and elsewhere saying it was down to the appointment of RPS (which may well have been true).

But when we reverted to type, the RPS factor disappeared.

Would personally prefer it if recruitment was headed by someone with a track record that stands up to scrutiny. If we get it wrong this time we might be waiting another generation. Fosun aren't going to roll it back and sign more studs like Neves, Patricio, Moutinho etc. Before you know it we'll be back to "young and hungry" paired with some over-the-hill old pros. So fingers crossed that Jackson is the real deal and can spot a player after all.

He doesn't have to, just have people in place who do and trust their judgement and if you don't build the team that you do. We don't know if they are any good because they've been broadly ignored for years.
