Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Funny you should mention that- sounds like Nice are hijacking Bamba Dieng's move to Leeds, so they might be back in the market again.
Proper hijack as well. Currently in talks with the player at the airport

Announcement is the wrong word, my bad, I meant rumour. Someone on twitter suggested there might be an out of the blue signing from a recent league winner today.
It was Soyuncu. Was all over twitter last night.

Hopefully Leeds striker deal falling through will lead to another bid for Hwang.

Wonder if we'll be one of those with an after deadline special again. That Sky love and try and keep you up til 2am just to find out who it is

Denayer since he's a free agent.

Denayer since he's a free agent.

I mean the ones where the window shuts but they're like "oh but we still have 12 that have had pre papers done" or something like that. Then they drag it out and slowly say who they are and if they go through. I think we had one last year or year before

Club are “happy with their options” now that they’ve realised they’re not capable of getting another deal done.

If they were happy with their options, why were they trying to sign Dawson?

Furthermore, what’s happened with Denayer? I mean, you don’t even have to negotiate with a club there. He’s literally a free agent.

So ridiculously obvious this was going to happen.

What hopes are being dashed? If it was the prospect of looking at Dawson on our bench then I’m delighted he’s not arriving.

I mean it's for a 3rd/4th choice defender but let's go crazy.
If our biggest complaint on players in is not signing Craig Dawson, then it's not a bad thing.

On Denayer...easy to presume he has other offers and he is in no rush as he has no deadline. I know he should of course drop everything to sign for us but the bastard clearly isn't one of our uber fans

Indeed. I don't want Dawson, he costs money, he has no residual value and he's shit and a cunt. I'm not a transfer junkie, I want good players here, not just "we've signed someone, yay. Next".

I've seen rumors on twitter (I know, I know) that the hold up with Denayer is that he wants a huge signing bonus at or near the value of what we would have paid a club had he not been a free agent.

Not rocket science. If we got a CB in, Mosquera would be allowed out on loan.

We haven't, so he isn't.

No issue here for me. We don't need to spend unnecessarily in a position we're pretty well equipped in.

Hope we can get a midfielder in but if not, it's still been a good window.

Well as his value would be what, £10m? That is clearly bollocks. No-one is just giving him that money. It's Jason Denayer, not Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pretty standard stuff that they would get a larger signing bonus as a free agent. It won't be the same as his transfer fee would have.
