Summer 2022 Transfer Window

For the same reason, we'd let Adama go if we got a semi decent bid for him. £5m plus and he'd be gone.
No he's got a contract for 9 months.

No team wants to lose a valuable asset. This is even more prevalent when they get absolutely no compensation, this gives the buyer leverage.

I don't think we would sell Adama for that amount. Even in the last season of his contract he is worth more to us than that.

Disappointing it seems we're still I'm a holding pattern for a striker, week out from deadline when we needed one a month out from season start (or last season really). The Austrian striker seems to just what we need.

I don't see the point in squabbling over £5M. I can't remember the last time we had a transfer that wasn't at full price or at premium. They've already spent heaps yet we don't really have any better squad depth from last season either.

They know we have to bring a striker in this window. They can stick to their value knowing we have to move on if we don't want to pay it, and they keep their player. We won't be back in the summer for him as we'd have bought someone else.

Because next time it won't be £5m it'll be £10m then £20m. I'm really glad that my procurement team don't have the same attitude as a lot of wolves fans.

If your procurement team secured a 10% discount, but the goods arrived 4 weeks after they were required so your client imposed penalty charges of at least that amount and maybe more, would you reward them with a bonus? Price is just one variable of a negotiation, I hope for your sake they at least know that.

You’re right Tony, as normal a majority of negotiation appears to done on fans forums and twitter these days, which is why I’ve purposely not commented.
Whilst we would all would have wanted at least two additions by now, I can’t overly complain with the signings so far. We are looking at quality rather than quantity even with our threadbare squad.
So I would rather we take a more measured approach, especially with the finer detail, as, although it’s a small chunk of the season, our position won’t be defined by where we are at the end of Aug.
This week is vital though in the longer term, so get this Sasa guy and Traore #2 and it’s at least a 9 out of 10 window for me (without losing Ruben or Neto of course)

Spending £100M+ on gaining assets only to miss out on a key part you've not got yet because you cant buy it at cost price (as a deadline approaches) is a terrible way of running any project/whatever in my opinion. But each to their own.

If we don't get Kalajdzic we could go for Roman Yaremchuk. Portuguese press are reporting that Benfica keeping Ramos means they need to offload him to make room/raise funds. Asking for €20M initially but I suspect that would be a little optimistic.

Similar kind of profile to Kalajdzic although much older. Hasn't had the best time in Lisbon but he was very highly rated when he arrived there.
