Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I wonder what are the odds that we'll sign no one - at least no one for the first team squad ?

If Neves , Mout , MGW and Adama all stay - a big ' if ' obviously.........that puts things in a different light .

The only guarantee if that happened is that this place would go into meltdown .

Can't be ruled out , long way to go mind you .

If Neves somehow stays we have to make money somewhere to fund shit. I still think MGW will be sold and Dendonker probably..

I made the mistake of clicking on a story in the scum of "Wolves win battle to keep Neves"

Any chance that the story has any evidence of being true was tarnished by the claim in the same story that Barcelona are keen on signing the released Romain Saiss.

It's absurd that we're acting as if we're on the verge of fucking bankruptcy, poncing around looking for £3m kids that are going to turn a profit after a season in Switzerland. We've had a net-spend of 50p for the last three years, we need players desperately, and we're behaving like fucking Norwich. Absolute fucking bollocks

What does a 'different light' mean?

In the sense that , rather than having funds from the sale of some main players - we would then have none .

Will the club then go out and spend money - big money - on significant players , when the only incoming funds would be for far lessor known players such as Sanderson , Ronan etc .

For instance - all posts here to date have pretty much assumed that we will sell someone of significance - perhaps we won't , who knows .

We're really not poor and selling players is down to the club wanting to fund transfers that way.

The PL clubs have a new chunk of income come in from international TV rights. Wolves have chosen a different path to fund players and that's Jeff Shi's choice.

Skint we ain't.

Bruno has apparently said he see's MGW as a big part of his first team squad this season, regardless of whether he pens a new contract or not - so if recent history is anything to go by, he'll be sold by the end of the week.

I actually think we'll keep MGW (jury is out on whether we can utilise him effectively and/or change the system to get the best from him. With zero new signings, that ain't happening).

Adama is the one I think we'll sell, and then we'll use that money to get a couple of younger/high potential players to add to the first team squad, but not straight in to the first 11. On Adama, he couldn't have looked anymore disinterested walking in to the building this morning, albeit it was a short clip. Just looked very obvious that he didn't want to be there. I reckon we'll sell him for close to £20m and spend about that on a couple of young lads.

Obviously it would be fantastic if it's us that's spent 45m euro on Ramos. He'd make a massive difference to our goals scored column and also our system, which is ultimately what we need. But I just don't see it. Saw yesterday a couple of PL clubs were in for Emmanuel Dennis from Watford for about £15m. I'd be sniffing around there for that price. Decent player.

There's no way that price is correct though, much as £15m for Nathan Collins wasn't right and you're looking at more than double that for him.

Dennis scored 10 goals in an awful team (one of the very worst I've ever seen in 30 years of the Premier League), he isn't going for that kind of fee.

I think Adama is now in the £10/£15m range. A year left and clearly doesn't want to be here. Feels like a late in the window take what you can deal, unless someone fancies loaning him for free for another 6 months of course

I wouldn't be paying €45M for Ramos. He's quality but I don't see it as a massive need for us compared to other positions.

If we're spending that sort of money it'd have to be on an elite central defender or midfielder. Matheus would be perfect for us but I don't see it happening tbh.

As much as Fosun and all this nonsense annoys me, almost as much as it seems to annoy Del, there are some things to be thankful for:

I want to believe. I seriously feel we lose Neves the team will fall apart, he's just that good and he's not going to be replaced by anything we bring in over the summer.
I agree with the losing Neves bit. We sadly don't have the correct owners to build the team around him.

Just a bunch of parasites with an incompetent at the head of the club.
