Summer 2021 transfer window

I think 10 quid is more than reasonable. I'd give them 15 so they could take a drink out of it.. :p

Spiers saying we are trying to generate funds by moving on Cutrone, Saiss, Otasowie and Mir rather than Neves or Traore.

No new signings any time soon then. We'd be lucky to get more than £20million for the 4 of them.

I'm all for that in principle, what seems unbalanced is the (perceived) need to get the money in first before buying. How many of those 4 need to go before we can buy? Cutrone will only be a loan so call it a million, Saiss I'd keep, but call that £3m, Otasowie £5m, Mir £10m. There's £19m for your centre half. Are we that cash strapped, and if so why?

We'd still be a CM and a forward short then and without Saiss arguably need 2 CH's not 1. They are on the verge of fucking this season up

Wasn't Mir supposed to be valued at £15 mil. Last I heard, Barcelona might be interested, so a swap deal could be on the cards.

Considering that Spiers was dead certain we were going to be selling the family silver not so long ago, I'll wait and see on that one.

Another article setting out that we have to sell to buy, without going into the most important question of the lot- why?

He didn't say that. He said that the only way we'd spend big would be if we sold one of those. Spiers has been correct so far on our Summer strategy from the point everyone on here said it was bollocks

The only thing that's giving me a crumb of comfort is that there's still around 4 weeks of the window left and there's not been much movent generally. I suspect the team won't take shape until well into September with some very late incomings.

It's probably a case of clubs not wanting to go early and overpay, with the pandemic and resulting hit on clubs finances, player value hasn't really been established in this "new normal". As the deadline gets closer desperation will set in for alot of clubs and I can see it being one of the busiest last few days transfer wise we've seen, across football not just Wolves. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
