I would say get rid of an alleged right back who still defends like someone who couldn't get in a League of Ireland team, and get rid of a "forward" who can't score.

I don't care what formation we play so long as it works and there's some form of entertainment from the whole charade.

I did put 2 inside forwards to buy.

That would give us 3 inside forward and space for Campbell/ Corbeanu to come through and Toney/ STR to cover.

Shame for Fabio, not his fault but he just isn't there player we need or should've spent £34m on.

I can't see us buying 2 CB's and 3 forwards so it's all a bit moot.

As I keep saying about Adama - we primarily play five defenders (who pretty much don't score, unless it's off a set piece) and two defensively-minded midfielders who don't score very much. Dendoncker seems to have given up on missing chances in favour of never entering the penalty box lately. Joao won't ever score many, Neves is fine if we get a load of penalties I suppose, though less useful when Raul is back in that respect.

So it's all on the front three.

How on earth then can we continue to support a forward who has 6 goals in 135 Premier League appearances. 6 in 135! Would you look at that. An average of slightly over 2 goals a season (but with rounding, it is 2 goals a season). Two of those goals came in the same game too, so he has scored in 5 PL games, ever. He's had 5 PL seasons.

We can't sustain that. We get a £30m offer, we take it, it's not much of a question for me.

I think it's a bit sneaky shifting Adama's expectations onto being a goalscorer.

It's not his fault his manager plays 8 defensive/non-scoring players and decides we don't need adequate cover for the only striker we have

I understand those who don't think he's worth it and would get other players in and go in a different direction. It's a valid opinion.

But if we're cutting slack to Nuno and the players for generally being shadows of themselves this season then I don't see why that doesn't apply to Adama too. There's fair criticism and then there's hammering him for things he's never really had in his locker anyway

I know you all hate the "expected stats" but it shows Adama doesn't really get into situations where he could score. His xG is pretty much the same as Willy Boly. Whether he should or not is debatable but my view is that as a forward player he should be getting into positions where he can score.

Where Adama shines is shot creating actions which suggests those dribbles he does actually create something. Most of his shot creating actions are passes.

Adama does something different and sometimes it looks horrible, sometimes it looks amazing. He does create opportunities though.

If he's in the team to score goals were using him wrongly, if he's in the team to create opportunities for others then that's what he's good at.

I have a feeling I’ll get roasted for this, and I might deserve it, but Podence lately has been an Erik Lamela Lite.
I don’t think I’d be sad to see him go, much as he is an exceptional footballer. Better suited to Italy or Spain, I think.

I'd swap him for McNeil too, but that isn't going to happen and I don't think we'll get £30m for him.

What I'm trying to say is that Adama is good at creating opportunities for others (and not just the front row of the south bank) but needs good players around him.

Adama trying to do it on his own is awful for everyone, Adama in a team that contains Jimi, Neto and Podence is a completely different proposition.

I don't think it's been a vintage season stats-wise for any Wolves player (Neto and Neves have done well).

The way we're set up to play by the manager means we're either expecting Adama to take on 6/7 players and score, or for one of his crosses to curl into the net. Not sure either expectation is realistic.

His poor end product assist-wise is a fair target, but even then what has he been aiming at? Willian or Fabio, or bloody Donk steaming into the box?

I get it, I'm not saying he's had anything other than a disappointing season, but either this season that we all want to end has mitigating circumstances for all Wolves players and the manager, or not. We shouldn't just pick and choose based on whether we like them!

(Btw, I'm not convinced myself that Adama will ever be anything other than frustrating and inconsistent either, and we'll probably be forever chasing his 19/20 output if he does stay)

Better? He got 12 assists in all competitions last year. It wasn't me who brought up Adama incidentally.
