And he's still better than our manager
Debatable really, Handsome Rob has also taken a club up and he might have done the same this year too if he'd stayed put (Boro are actually worse off PPG wise since he left).

Parker has a longer CV and he does the same thing every time, his football is shite to watch even when you're grinding out single goal wins against Preston and Bristol City with 10x the budget they have, I would not want him.

Not an endorsement of Edwards in particular and I was fortunate enough to miss Friday's game so I probably have less current, short term visceral hatred than everyone else :D

Debatable for sure, and I certainly wouldn't want Parker either, but on paper I'd say he's a better Championship manager; 3 promotions to 1, 2 of them automatic, definitely a strong performer down there.

Rob could have got Boro promoted from the Champ, sure, he also had a big hand in taking Luton out of the division at the wrong end

My theory on Edwards and Boro has always been that if he thought they were good enough to have stayed the course then he'd have not left. Essentially thinking in all likelihood he'd be in the Championship either way next season so better off taking the option with the financial and locational advantages

Would agree with that.

Burnley fans do not and have never liked Scott E Parker. I think Edwards has got a bit of leeway here and he'll have it going into next season too, but he seriously has to hit the ground running. If we start with 3 wins from the first 10 or something that goodwill will dissolve very quickly.

Coincidentally, that’s what Ipswich were on and now they are a shoe in for automatic.
True. But McKenna had significantly more credit in the bank with the fanbase than Roberto currently has here.

And Ipswich pretty much bought a squad (when they got to the Premier) in mind for getting back out of the Championship again if they got relegated. There's pretty much no one in our squad (Armstrong aside) with the stomach for getting us back up.

I reckon Toti could do you a job and if Rodrigo is here I don't think he'll down tools, so he is what he is, boundless enthusiasm.

The rest of them can fuck off.
