Spurs (H) 25/4: Build-up & Match Thread

Joao Gomes somehow gets away from three Spurs challenges. Looks up, only option is Mane. Passes it to him. Mane loses it immediately.

They’re all absolutely shite. I think I might go out and enjoy the sun rather than this.

They're so bad, aren't they! Joao might be the only player I'd want to retain. The rest of them are somewhere between bad and awful. New contract for Doherty anyone?

Kudos to Mane and Armstrong who have somehow managed to be even worse than the others. Mane has dropped off an absolute cliff since the 2-3 games when he broke on the scene. Can’t hold the ball up. Doesn’t look threatening going forward. Can’t pass or control it. Pathetic.

Joao is the only person to have some credit from this half, as you say.

I guess we’ll find out. Doubt all 5 of them stay though
You only need to drop two threatneing players in there and it will do well, but these 5 wouldnt do well in the championship as an attacking unit, just no threat at all.

One simple sub - putting Tolu on, immediately improves us.

Championship Rob has probably been told he’s not allowed to play him, though.

Right up there among one of the worst 45 minutes of football I’ve sat through. Which given the state of this season is quite something.

At least we know we may as well play Lima over that other idiot. Not that Lima is good at all. Just it doesn’t make a difference

Not quite as bad as the forest one imo

Again, I ain't watching any more of this shite. Time to go out and do some work on the lawn.

First thing I'll say is that Spurs are genuinely bad and look very much a relegation team. They look scared of their own shadows, and can barely do anything right.

But I expect they'll do enough to win this game because while they are bad, we are just terrible. We have so many players who can't control the ball, cant pass, can't run, can't dribble, and have the awareness of a lump of lard.

Talking of which, Doherty hasn't even been our worst player. These players might just compete in League One. Which I have little doubt is where we will be come the end of next season. There isn't one redeemable feature about this team.

/shudder. That half was special.

The longer this goes on, the more desperate Spurs will become. I mean, if you can't beat Wolves on demand, you're probably deservedly getting relegated. This will be their best chance at 3 points and they know it.

Spurs looked dangerous first 10 minutes, been even and poor since then. Be interesting to see how things unfold as they get more desperate.

Yeah it’s going to be interesting to see how spurs approach it if we get to 60 mins in and they still don’t look like scoring. I think they might just win on the fact we will give up but be great if West Ham score soon too
