Rest of his game is miles off though and his stengths are completely neutered as a regulation RB. He was never quick but now he’s glacial so any good movement is also easy to nullify and is a complete liability at the other end.

Oh definitely the rest of the team and Nuno helped him but personally I think it's churlish to say he wasn't good in that period just cos he was shit before and shit after it.

Did well enough (for about two seasons) in an incredibly niche role that we don't use now that we got Spurs to give us a pretty chunky fee. Had it been left at that, then all would have been good.
