After posting on the Film thread about Jackie Brown it got me wondering about the best film soundtracks.

For me it’s got to be Jackie Brown, if only for introducing me to 110th St and Tennessee Stud in one film - the latter which brings back great memories of working in France at a young age.

Anyone got a better suggestion?

judgment night (woeful film though)

As a lover of early 90s rock, I have to mention the Singles soundtrack. I can’t remember if the film is any good as I haven’t watched it for about 25 years but the soundtrack is ace. The Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins tracks alone are superb.

I know it doesn’t strictly count as it’s a tv programme soundtrack rather than a film, but the Beavis and Butthead Experience is surprisingly brilliant.

The Boat That Rocked, basically just a load of 1960's single strung together (strangely some of them like Wont get fooled again didn't come out till '71)

Judgement night is a great shout - such a random soundtrack with some great songs. You’re definitely right on the woeful film

Blues brothers,
Rocky horror picture show, or would that be classed as a musical?
All the Beatles films?

The life aquatic with Steve Zissou - odd film improved by Seu Jorge
