I think this could be premature. This lineup (unless there are fitness issues we don't know about) just says to me that this season Nuno could be using his full squad more than ever before. Maybe he wants the steadiness of Marcal with Adama on the other side, especially in an away game
Nah, he's spent 3 years as backup. It's terrible man management to not play him if you want to keep him. Nuno will know that, he won't be here in a month.

Is this front three the start of Phase II - quick, very technically competent players who are very comfortable with changing positions?

That looks the most likely conclusion...

Wonder if there's summat in the Vinagre + cash for Telles, it appears Vinagre has no future here

obviously will be going if Telles is coming in..

I'm not thrilled by Marcal at LWB as all accounts seemed to say he struggled in that position. Having said that, I've never actually seen the guy play so should give him a chance!

I was looking forward to Vinagre getting a run of games but, like others say, looks like he may be off soon. He must be pretty pissed off to still not get a start.

Watching the coverage on Sky and so far all they have talked about is Liverpool, Leeds and Chelsea.

I agree, was more in response to TT saying Vini would throw a paddy - if Nuno doesn’t want him in this game then Vini should trust him.

IMO it shows it’s likely he’s off, with a replacement lined up.

A Bola reported that Porto will take €20m for Telles. If we can get him for around €10-15m plus Vinagre that would be a superb bit of business.

Interesting lineup, happy with the front three and looking forward to seeing Marcal. Have we started with a midfield two of Dendoncker and Moutinho before? I can't recall.

In fairness, MNF always starts with an analysis of the weekend's games

That’s where I am too

Jonny Phillips is a brilliant presenter, I really enjoy the conversations he provokes

Might be the opposite then, feels Mou is upto speed whilst Neves bit rusty still
Perhaps Nuno has spent the bit of a break he's had reflecting and decided when playing a 2 he needs at least one CM can get into the box? Individually I love Neves and Moutinho, but playing the two together can make us a bit pedestrian though.

Get in, very good by Podence too
