Season Ticket Discussion 2024/25

Will you renew?

My email in full:

I was just wondering how I opt out of renewing my season ticket? I’ve received the email today to renew mine and my daughter’s but I won’t be doing so, I’m just concerned that it will auto renew if I don’t opt out as I pay by direct debit and I don’t want it to. Would you be able to advise on how to cancel my renewal? And tell Jeff he's a cunt.
If you cancel your direct debit with your bank they can't take the money

Going to the match is about so much more than the football and often the actual 90 minutes of the game is the worst bit of the day. If the club accepts challenging for Europe is unlikely and bloodying a few of the big boys’ noses is the realistic height of our ambition that wouldn’t be the end of the world but paying more for lower ambition year on year is simply ridiculous. The way I feel at the moment is I’d rather go and tick off a few different grounds each season in the lower leagues.

One thing to keep in mind. We all expected lots of people to walk away this time last year when the fanbase were hit with last years increases - but a week or two after Fosun/the club were wanking themselves silly on social media at a “record breaking uptake on renewals”.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar this year, although there does seem to be more anger this time around.

The problem is, whilst people keep paying it (and it’s entirely up to those that do & we’ve already seen on this forum that people will, even if they’re not happy about it), Fosun will continue to do it.

This year feels different on all forms of media. Far less people justifying it than usual.

I emailed them and got standard response.

Absolutely horrified by the price increases particularly for the people who are the future of the club and the less fortunate. In life, price increases are to be expected but this has been done in a particularly poor way. Thought I'd hunt out one of my Grandad's season tickets from the 70's... I couldn't find any of his 50's or 60's season tickets as they are probably in the attic somewhere... but just for giggles, thought I'd post how much we paid back then... can only imagine what he would think today and the exploitation of fans.

What really narks me though is that we are expected to continue to support our club through thick and thin even though big money has taken over the game and VAR is fucking with us on a weekly basis. Sorry, but if I'm paying top whack for a season ticket and I am more clueless about what is going on in the stadium when a fan watching on TV some 4,000 miles away can see everything, then I'm thinking why the fuck bother?

Might as well take myself away on holiday and watch in a sunny bar somewhere and know what's happening.

Fucking tired of what the "beautiful game" has become. This isn't right. Simple As.

I'm in the not renewing, but reserve the right to change my mind camp, but the difference this year is there are many to which it won't be an option

That's the option I was going to go with if they don't get back to me, last resort but why make it impossible to cancel it on the site? Shitty move.
Your season ticket will automatically renew on or around 7th June using the direct debit details used for the 2023/24 season, with payments commencing on 28th June. If you do not wish to renew, you can inform us via email at fanservices@wolves.co.uk before 5th June 2024 with your supporter number and seat details. Or, you can opt out by logging in to your online ticket account and following the steps below.

Well this dude kind of fell into the trap.
I don't think most would be kicking off at £525

This feels different though, I think this price increase has pushed to many to far.
Only so much you can push people’s loyalty, it’s a question of morality for most in justification of spending that much. I think it’s a dilemma that most know renewing could have detrimental affect on those dependent on them or sharing the bills.

The massive hike for the kids is the worst part. Club is cannibalising its own future, going to lose a generation of match-going fans and possibly drive them into the arms of the Sky Six. Peak short-term thinking, they really do want to milk us for everything.

Going the way of Albion under Lai.

Blame Deutsch for highlighting, but this prick pissed me off

FFS I despise these twats “be careful what you wish for” aresholes. yep let’s just persist with rip of merchants who are gradually ripping the sole from the club. Let’s just have a boutique style club where only a select few can go yep great stuff.
That extra £3m might just pay for some desperately needed renovations.

Nice one mate, where did you get that from? I'd rather follow the steps below, not saying I don't trust the club anymore I just don't trust the club anymore.

EDIT: Nevermind, I actually read the email.

EDIT II: I knew I'd read it earlier, and please correct me if I'm being incredibly thick here, but it definitely does NOT include any steps to opt out?
