Will you renew?

I take massive issue with the mental health video Wolves released a week ago, now the same club release these prices. These prices are going to effect people mentally who have been going for years and now can't afford the very thing they look forward to and have a release from the mundane. You utter wanker Jeff Shi go fuck yourself and get fucking gone.

The fans will take so much before biting back, they’re not stupid and corporate board bollocks talk won’t fool anyone.
Just asking for a toxic atmosphere next season if things aren’t going well on the field to.
Seriously need to question what are you paying for.
The trying to put tickets on mobile devices as @The Bear has stated is designed to stop ticket sharing which seriously what is the big problem with that, understand the climate people exist in.

Exactly this.

There will be people who will be genuinely affected by this. Those that can't renew and those that continue to renew even though they can't afford it because that's all they know.

Yeah, that's exactly it.

I mean I do question where £13m+ of agent fees went from Feb 2023 to Feb 2024 as we hardly signed anyone and why they're discounting an unexpected £5m windfall and why we're literally hundreds of pounds more expensive to watch a worse team in a worse facility than 6 years ago, but ultimately I suppose what I really want is to pay £2 a game as if it's the early 80s and also have elite European players scattered through the squad.

Please sir, kick me harder in the bollocks next time, the pleasure's all mine.

Having been on the season ticket waiting list for a number of years now, I'm sufficiently high enough on the list, that I think this will be the summer it's offered.
I fully intend to stand alongside anybody that wants to protest about the pricing, and will be telling the club to shove it!

This reeks of a company juicing revenue as hard as possible in the short-term. Why not when their main focus is on making the club look as attractive as possible to buyers?

A few days ago Jenny Nicholson (a fairly big youtuber, for the offline folks) put out a comprehensive autopsy of the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, a themed hotel at Disney World Florida where guests spent $6k+ for two days of interactive roleplay as characters within the Star Wars universe, which closed after only 18 months of operation. The tl;dr of it all was that it failed because it was the nadir of Disney's past decade of increasingly cutting corners in its parks while also shoving the most interesting and exciting stuff (which used to be free, or at least a minimal extra like eg a live dinner show) behind faux-"luxury" paywalls. And eventually that approach just collapsed under the immense shittiness of what people were actually paying for. At some point even the most hardcore fans of a thing will realise that they're being taken for a ride.

Her argument (as a big theme park nerd) was that Disney has spent decades cultivating visits to its parks is a fundamental part of the American family experience, so parents go out of their way to make a trip - and ideally multiple trips - happen. If you increase prices continually while reducing the quality of the product then you will make more money because people will, at first, pay those higher prices for their quintessentially American pilgrimage, and if they can't afford multiple trips then it's OK because the parks are now designed to always be over capacity, and there will always be more people who will book and come. But eventually, if you keep alienating parents by draining their wallets so severely and you make it clear that you view them with contempt at the same time, you're going to stop creating new Disney fans, and you're going to break that cultural cycle which made Disney theme parks such a cash cow. Short term gain, long term pain.

Fosun's approach with football feels very, very familiar.

I thought I’d see more people trying to justify it (there’s a weird corner of twitter who refuse to criticise anything the club do) but everything I’ve seen has been rightly disgusted.

From a quick scan, the SM reaction is more in line with this forum for a change. Yes the odd one happy to pay and some justifying the increase but mainly "fuck off Jeff"

Interested to see how this relates to numbers though. I guess we have the bonus £5m to cover the possible unsold ST's

And the ST shortfall will v covered by the walk up fan paying 20 quid more per game than the ST.

Even if they only cover 90% of any lost STs with walk up tickets they'll be quids in, especially with the 45 quid membership fee.

This is the final season that Wolves cash can be redeemed against a ST too

I don't know who these walk-up fans are.

Pissed off ex-STHs aren't going to hand over ~£50 a game
Novelty of being in the PL has long since gone
We aren't a team making a serious push to do anything any more

Didn’t even know we had a ticket forum. They should all quit
