A carabao cup quarter final, a competition that generates little interest untill atleast the next round, and being a quarter final any income will be profit they hadn't budgeted for.
There's lots of things to have ago at the club for, but please compare like for like.

I saw that earlier her reason for not doing so was weak, although the comparison isn't like for like - Kop vs Billy Wright. They are about the same for behind the goal. It's PL football, obviously they should be the same

The section in this at the start on football finances / ticket prices / revenue brought in by tourists versus legacy fans etc with Kieran Maguire is pretty interesting. What blew my mind was the cost of tickets for elite sport in the US, and the fact this appears to be what's driving the culture of price rises here:

Some of those blatantly aren't true, tons of STH seats up for resale, but we don't sell out so they never become available for general sale and just sit empty (stupid system) but still count as a ticket sold. Palace and last night in particular. You can knock 2-3k off those figures, comfortably.
