Will you renew?

Waiting for the announcement, undecided yet, not sure the outlay provides value. I could take the family on an all inclusive holiday, not just me and daughter out for a few hours once a fortnight.

Pretty much expected nothing until after todays game because of the anti Fosun stuff that could have been generated. Fully expect Monday morning to be the announcement.

Are fans anti Fosun other than on here?

Plenty have realised how far we have sunk.

Id have thought they would be on GON's back before Fosun.

Just read the Mix to gauge feelings on tickets and went back for Fosun after seeing your post.

Lots of bootlicking still going on including it being 'fair' OAP concessions are scrapped and general 'look at where we come from' nonsense.

Few dissenting voices but equally Fosun have a 20-30 year plan.

I'll pop back in in 2036 then.

It’s an odd one I think it’s a big elephant in the room currently, no one wants to dissent because they’ll be accused of being spoilt, tourist fan and not remembering the dark days of Morgan and co in league 1.
Question is how far does sentiment go?
Personally once it’s clear you’re in reverse and going back downhill asking for change, improvement etc is more than acceptable.
Questioning a price hike with no improving product is ok to question to.
The fanbase I just don’t understand discontent use to spread after about 3-4 bad results now it seems to take an impending disaster.
Not sure if the prolonged spell in the top flight has softened the anger or not.

I think it's rightly harder to be as angry at 14th in the PL as we were when it happened in the champ given respective spend, resources, expectations etc. That kind of underperformance is angering. This kind of checked out ownership just breeds apathy

As we know from previous experiences apathy is far more dangerous than anger.

I think the fact we’ve spent 75% of the last 40 years outside the top flight creates an attitude of “we should just be grateful to be here”
That attitude is small club minded and eventually flawed.
Current running of the club means we’re just waiting for our turn to go down.

Ticked yes but it’s far from a given. If the family object I wouldn’t use my normal patient diplomacy* this year TBH. I think I might have done too thorough a job on the indoctrination, but only just.

*Just do it anyway then surprise them come mid August.

Maybe it's just me then (well it is just me so far).

I honestly don't think I've enjoyed 10 games in 3 seasons, and it's fucking expensive, and they absolutely take the piss.

I get why you would renew just because that's what you do, I mean I renewed under Hoddle. I think I've had enough though.

I'll renew for a couple of reasons. I start a new job in a couple of weeks when I'll be working every other weekend, so depending on how it falls I'll miss a lot of games and my lad will have his last U17 ticket. This will be it though

Chap on Twitter who goes home and away and has done for yonks said if they raise it 1p then he’s not renewing due to Fosun taking the piss. Fair play if he does stick to that. It’s a stance I wish I could say I would stick to.

Was really pissed off after Bournemouth and felt I could do without it. What Lycan said about it potentially being the end makes me think I should carry on though.

They shouldn't be losing people like me.

- I can and do walk to the ground in half an hour
- I have been going for 36 years
- I spend an inordinate amount of my own time talking about Wolves
- I can afford it, if I want to

What does it say about how they're running the place that it's even a conversation.

Agree completely that just because we spent so long outside the top flight, we should just accept whatever we get just because its Premier League is a nonsense thought.

We had back to back 7th place finishes, Europa QF, FA Cup semi final. Things were in place to kick on. For some reason we then decided to completely change tack, and become sell-to-buy.

I get the self-sufficient point, and I agree with it. But I'm not buying the fact we constantly have to sell before we can invest. In the last couple of seasons we have dramatically reduced our wage bill, and reigned back spending. With the TV deals alone, there is money to spend before we even consider selling players.

The club are lying to us, and it is obvious the current plan is a choice, not necessity.

It's forever the way with being a Wolves fan. Dare say, most other clubs.
We have some incredible footballers given what shite we've had in the past.
I understand the desire to constantly improve but the English football game has changed so much that very few teams can ever be successful. Fosun, IMO, have realised this and adjusted accordingly. Frankly, it's their business and their call. For us, well, most of us here, it's a large part of our lives, so we're guilty of a little greed.

Most of life is how you view your circumstances and how much control you feel you have. No different here. We're just a bunch of folk who love our football team and want the best for it. Unfortunately, we're not the custodians of it and never will be. We also have to realise we can't forever rely on a wealthy benefactor with no ties to the area. They got us to where we are now and I don't see a plan B. Sometimes you need to be careful about what you wish for.

PS. And there will always be another football game. Out of Darkness Cometh Light.

I don’t think this is what people have a problem with tbh (in fact I’d quite enjoy us being successful doing it in a sustainable financial way). I think it’s the lying to and fleecing of the fans. You can’t get away with that in the long run
