Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

Last season England beat Ireland away and Wolves beat Everton away on the same day.

Out of here with your hokum :D

Pretty much the only cyber-esque nonsense superstition I have is that Wolves and England rugby team very rarely win on the same day..

On a brighter note I sat next to a 2015 world cup winning all black on a flight yesterday - he thought England were favourites. Even better he was a scrum half so still seat room too.

Surprised that this was not a Cyberism really

Hmmm. I remember the day well. Went to see Wolves at Hillsborough during the 2007 rugby World Cup. An excellent win - fucking hell even Eastwood and Seyi scored. And Wales lost to fucking Fiji.

This year, Wales won the Grand Slam in the afternoon and then Wolves beat Man Utd in the FA Cup quarter final in the evening. That was a surreal day.

Yes and England played like utter nobs against Scotland. Q.E.D.

I do remember we lost away to Everton the day England won the World Cup. Radzinski tore us apart. I sat next to Robert Plant.

Given we won exactly 0 away games that season (didn't even beat Kidderminster in the FA Cup), I'm not sure there's any correlation to be drawn.

Scotland to be investigated by World Rugby on a misconduct charge for being whiny li'l bitches...

England make changes to their starting XV for Saturday.

George Ford drops to the bench and Slade comes into the centre with Farrell starting at fly-half. Mako returns to the front row and Courtney Laws starts instead of Kruis.

15 Elliot Daly; 14 Anthony Watson, 13 Henry Slade, 12 Manu Tuilagi, 11 Jonny May; 10 Owen Farrell, 9 Ben Youngs; 1 Mako Vunipola, 2 Jamie George, 3 Kyle Sinckler; 4 Maro Itoje, 5 Courtney Lawes; 6 Tom Curry, 7 Sam Underhill, 8 Billy Vunipola.

Replacements: 16 Luke Cowan-Dickie, 17Joe Marler, 18 Dan Cole, 19 George Kruis, 20 Lewis Ludlam, 21 Willi Heinz, 22 George Ford, 23 Jonathan Joseph.

Nearly time for the quarter finals...

I think England will take this one but it should be a decent close match.

Get in. England looking very dangerous with ball in hand.

Well that's settled the nerves a bit...
