Rugby League Thread

GB obviously

We will hopefully provide a stiff test but they will be favourites

It will be 3-0 and we won’t bet close to them. The gap in ability is too large now IMO.

NRL is of a higher quality in every department really. Faster pace, bigger players, higher intensity, greater competition. More money in the game and more interest in the sport in general.

I don't necessarily believe that there's a huge gap in ability in terms of ball handling and skillset. As witnessed in recent World Club challenge matches, the SL teams can compete in one off games. However, the depth of talent available to the Kangeroos is far superior to the English team.

There doesn't seem to be a massive difference in terms of forwards tbf. Their forwards are still better overall, but a good number of English forwards have dominated Super League, gone to the NRL and been hugely successful over there too.

Should have been 40

Never seen the Panthers that bad. Couldn’t tackle, couldn't complete a set. Yeo had a poor game, as did Liam Martin and they really missed cleary

Got to deliver some furniture in an hour with a mate who is a Panthers fan. Should be fun

Leeds Rhinos have re-signed former captain Kallum Watkins from Salford Red Devils on a deal for the remainder of the 2025 Super League season.

The NRL has agreed to consider a proposal to buy a 33 per cent stake in the Super League on the proviso it gets complete administrative control of the struggling competition from 2028 as part of a bid to grow the sport internationally.
