Rugby League Thread

Cracking game tonight, just going into golden point.

There’s been a fair few home grown players who’ve only lasted one season, back at Saints next season I reckon.

Halifax council has agreed to the sale of The Shay sports stadium to Huddersfield Giants owner Ken Davy. The Super League side will play their games at The Shay from 2026 until their new stadium is built and opened around 2028/2029.

The sale of The Shay comes with strict conditions which must be met including the covenant that the ground can only be used for sports.

This will protect the long-term future of both the Halifax Panthers and Halifax Town.

  • Challenge Cup QF draw
  • Hull FC v Hull KR
  • St Helens v Warrington Wolves
  • Wakefield Trinity v Leigh Leopards
  • Catalan Dragons vs Salford Red Devils

The Storm beat the Panthers 30-24 in a rematch of last year's GF.

Good bronco win in the end.

Cowboys can feel unlucky though. They should have been well clear in the first half but couldn’t score even with loads of field position

Good win for the Tigers on the road at Redcliffe this morning. That's the first back to back away wins for us since 2021 IIRC.

Having watched this week's round of SL, I reckon Luke Robinson (lucky to be retained after last season IMO) is skating on very thin ice at Huddersfield and Cas look awful under McGuire.
