frustrates me that all media outlets I can see report he has been given a 3 year ban for a "world cup kiss".
Erm, no. Call it what it is. He has been given a 3 year ban for sexual assault.
 
Sexual assault is a criminal offence and he hasn’t been charged, let alone convicted. Perhaps they don’t fancy getting sued so have used non-consensual though. Makes it reasonably clear.

March 28, 2024 - A prosecutor at Spain's High Court announced they were seeking a two-and-a-half-year jail term for Rubiales.

May 9, 2024 - It is announced Rubiales would stand trial for kissing Hermoso, facing one count of sexual assault and one of coercion.

He was charged before the 12th of October, 2023. The police prosecutor had already thought it was likely that he was guilty of a crime of sexual assault. Then it went to the equivalent to the UK Crown prosecution, to see if the case went ahead. Paddy said, he hadn't been charged, let alone convicted. My post was to point out that both had now happened, that he had been charged and convicted, not to try and score worthless points.If I had wanted to do that, I would have made a comment in my first post, to say he was wrong.

I am not the one making an issue out of it. The date is irrelevant to me. Paddy said he hadn't been arrested on the date that he posted his comment and that I knew that. Inferring that I was making an issue about the date, which I hadn't. If I had wanted to make an issue of the date I would have commented about it when I put my initial link up , which I didn't.
I could have also put a link up confirming he was charged in 2023, but that would mean I was trying to make out that Paddy was wrong about the date, but the date he was charged is irrelevant to me. What I was pointing out that he had been found guilty.

Do you really think I was trying to score points against Paddy? I put my original post up and never mentioned the date. Paddy has taken my post, as though I was trying to show that he was wrong and that couldn't be further from the truth. The original post was to show he had now been found guilty, because nobody had mentioned it.

I'm not interested in your 'dispute' with Paddy. I explained my reason in my previous post.
