Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

If we’re going to start next season with any positivity RE has to be replaced. Now it’s toxic it will carry over to next season. We need a full makeover, a bit of new lipstick on the pig won’t make a difference and we’ll waste a season’s parachute money. It’s so predictable and Fosun need to act sooner rather than later.

Gotta gew for me. We could have at least played some kids or 4 at the back or with wild, gay abandon. But no. Nothing.

Yeah, I've had enough now. Can't see anything other than us needing another new manager by November

There's someone on Ryan Leister's podcast who individually doesn't want him sacked for all the reasons you've already heard from Spiers etc, but says he should be because the fans will never have him and to have any chance next year we need to be united. I don't think you can argue with the latter part now.

You have a blank canvas to show what you can do. Results are largely immaterial as we're down anyway and we reasonably expect to lose most weeks as we have a worse team than nearly everyone else.

And you serve this up for months and months on end.

Rob Lambert, without the Champions Weague CV.

This is the kind of stuff you need to actually get him sacked. It’s the folks who get to wedded to a bad call so rather than say ‘yeah, I was wrong, he’s evidently no good’ say ‘I still know best but what can you do when the fans turn…’.

Th worst subs I have ever seen in a professional match. Go, for the love of god, go.

If I had spent 3m to get him out of another club I’d want my money back. You can’t look at what he’s doing and think it’s going to go any better next season.

Nobody expected him to keep us up so there was no pressure in that respect. What we wanted to see was some foundations laid and some performances that weren’t embarrassing. Rather than foundations he’s created a situation where most of us would be happy to see a completely new squad next season. Yes our squad isn’t great but rather than make it better than the sum of its parts he has actually made every individual, with the exception of Santi and that’s probably down to simply getting used to the PL, look worse than they were before he arrived.

He was done the moment he went for the fans after Arsenal, some people tried to brush over it and make out like it was no big deal but it is. Once you do that you'll find it very very hard to win them back round, so to compound that with these performances and the results - the writing is on the wall.

Thing is they have an easy out with this. He was hired under the old structure. With Nathan Shi now in charge he can say the best way to proceed is with a full unity and full refresh approach. Sweep out Edwards and anyone involved in his hire and trying to rehire O'Neil.

Exactly. It would also help Nathan demonstrate he's his own man and not just Jeff Mk II. We can only hope.

Jackson is almost as invested as Shi I though and who advises Shi II? Even now I still think he only goes if we employ a Mendes plant. We need to be wiping Jackson out too and hope the scouting team are good that will assist a proper Sporting Director

I'd sack him and Parker in

*I'm not a huge advocate of Parker, but I am not remotely expecting Jackson to get someone in who is better
Parker only tends to succeed when he has one of the highest budgets in the division (and the football is still shit), I don't think we will have one of the highest budgets so it's a no from me.
