Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

I regularly have that expression while I'm watching Wolves.

Now i know we’re shit but fuck me it’s annoying seeing comments of he’s doing his best and how can you expect a style with these players. So working with that theory no team below the Premier League should have a style of play or any patterns or resemble a professional side.

It’s fucking grating and he can pat his chest to us in the away end all he likes but how we didn’t concede 3 or 4 last night is a miracle. It certainly wasn’t down to us. I really wanted him to do well and there were some little signs but they’ve all pretty much gone now other teams know about Mane.

Fucking hell, its depressing, 2 weeks ago I had a little bit of hope that we would be able to compete in the Championship. That has all completely eroded over the last 2 games. I know I'm being a bit hyperbolic but just feels if we carry on as we are, morale will be so low next season another relegation fight might be where we are.

Who else is available then? And daft enough to accept?
Well this is on the club isn’t it. Acknowledge it’s been shit, complete reset under Nathan and we mean business. Plenty of people with substance would jump at it. Unfortunately we don’t know what’s going on but there’s no attempt to have style or plan again from last night or one that will work. Just because it’s shit now doesn’t mean it has to stay like that.

Sa takes goal kick short to one the centre backs, in to one of the Gomes’s back to the centre backs, work it to Krejci and he clips it. Tolu sometimes controls it (usually with a bit of luck) or it just keeps coming back and put that on repeat.

I’m not a fan, we need a complete reset next season and he’s not the one to do it.

Do all Managers walk around and clap their own travelling fans after matches at away grounds ?

Isn't it a given surely , considering the distance they travelled, perhaps on a week night as well ?

Tonight's result was the equivalent of the 2-2 Vs Swansea under MM for me. Glossing over an absolutely woeful performance.

Despite his pathetic showing as Wolves manager I've never really disliked him, his posturing post match was a bit much but I was more bothered by the playing squad & ownership to get too worked up about how rubbish he is.

His post match interview has gone a long way towards altering that viewpoint though. What the fuck is he thinking?

Shocking post match interview. I doubt it moves the needle a millimeter as fans will focus on getting a point Vs Arsenal and literally nothing else will matter, but it will to me I'll remember him digging out the fans specifically. Fuck him

I personally don’t give a fuck about getting a point v Arsenal. Means nothing. Our season was finished months ago.

I’d have swapped it for a 6-0 loss and Edwards fucking off back to Luton, this evening.

He kept banging on about 3 losses in 11, as if that's a thing. And presumably that includes Shrewsbury and Grimsby.

You've won one league game Robert (and that was 6 weeks ago now) and you've been here for three months. I'd keep quiet on the old stats front if I were you.

Well,. I've seen a few interviews by Edwards now, an given the number of clubs he's been with, and the months he's been with Wolves, I think there should be someone decision maker, maybe with the PR dept who could get him set up with a few training sessions on how to give a TV interview without talking bullshit, scratching your nose, saying nothing statements and generally giving an interview then when the cameras have fucked off you reflect on what you've said and think..... well that was a bit shit.
He's been at the public head of Wolves for long enough now to know, that what he's delivered to camera so far isn't good enough.
It's amateurish and Division 3 new starter level.
And its embarrassing.
Must do a lot better. Stop being sorry you've been signed up for this crock of shit.

Ive just read the interview and after what i had read on here I was expecting him to say something a bit more inflammatory than what he did. Nothing in it for me Clive
Yeah after reading the replies about Edwards comments was expecting him to have been really negative about the crowd. When I read what he actually said it was fuck all.

I think coming after the fans in any way after we've sat through a season where we have 10 points in mid-February is a very poor look, and the tone probably doesn't come across when it's written down.

Conor Coady was on the same channel and he's a thousand times more of a Wolves man than Rob Edwards will ever be.

Some of that is fair but did he really come after the fans? Not to me.

He probably shouldnt have said anything, but i dont think what he did say is particularly inflammatory or, more importantly, untrue.
