Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

However, supporter frustrations are a symptom of a wider problem, opposite number Rob Edwards believes. The Wolves manager has defended Dyche.

"There are not that many sets of supporters that are happy at the moment," he said. "There's a lot of anger around.

"I think now you've got to win consistently and play well consistently to avoid any sort of criticism.

"It's really hard to maintain that [challenge at the top] because the big, big, big clubs will always be there and then a couple almost threaten it and can't quite maintain it because they get picked off for some of the best players.

"Then it's like: 'why aren't you fifth and challenging for Europe?' It's an impossible task to keep everyone happy. I think he's [Dyche] a brilliant manager and he's having an amazing career. "

Load of bollocks from Edwards here. He's obviously alluding to more than just Dyche/Forest.

'You've got to win consistently...to avoid any sort of criticism'?? We've won one league game all season FFS

He's a fucking idiot for saying that. I'm sure he's nice enough but he's clearly got fuck all between his ears.

All managers talk bollocks...constantly.

That is Rob starting to feel the pressure though. Could be from things being said to him by the club or just some self awareness.

True... talking bollocks when you've a decent CV and can back up the claptrap with achievement is one thing... talking bollocks with fuck all to show for it is entirely different...

It may well not be exactly what he meant, but the implication for me is that what's happened to Wolves in particular is just 'one of those things' rather than a pretty singular case of years of abominable judgement, decision making and mismanagement at all levels

On the plus side he appears to have grown a pretty decent looking beard

What was he actually asked? It seems more like trying to show support to a manager under pressure than any sorted of comment on Wolves.
