Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

If Fake Shi was replaced or he got in a new team to advise on the football side of things then it would happen.

Jeff may be gone and he was #1 in the Robbie E fan club but Jackson is #2.

Rob will stay and then will be sacked in October/November.

Christ, if Kenny is this pessimistic then we really are fucked.

Also - more generally, what happened to Rui Pedro being responsible for our upturn?

But now it's gone to shit again i see it's Rob's fault?

Rui is just responsible for Mane's performances now.

Rui will be our next manager

I’d love to know whether it was Edwards or Rui Pedro who made the change to a back four at a most inappropriate time. You’d have to imagine the manger is responsible for the change and team selections so Rui Pedro was probably left trying to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.

I think he has to stay to give us a go in the Championship but every time he picks Hwang and Doc, his credibility falls like a brick.

They won’t get rid of him until at least October/November. For whatever reason, they are too invested in him.

Really, they should just sack him the second Nuno becomes available again.

On this, if West Ham join us the Championship then they can sack Nuno without paying compensation.

As they are still paying Lopetegui and Potter probably explains how he dodged being sacked after losing v us

Didn't YW say that RP wants nothing to do with the Championship slog? More likely to not be here next season than manager if that's the case.

I believe it was from last time there, he and Nuno said that they wouldn't have gone another season?

That was some time ago, so opinion may have changed?

Not a clue....just trying to invent things to keep the mood positive in my head

A number of concerning quotes from the press conference in here:
On Mosquera, if it's a rush of blood to the head you aren't having a chat about it, he does stupid things most games, whether that's silly fouls, switching off or walking the red card line with his aggression. You can't stop that because it's just in him. If people like the shithouse and crazy side of him, you have to put up with that too. I think he's a too much of a liability at PL level personally.

On the back 4, he's right to a degree, but he's ignoring the large elephant in the room about who he picked to play it and whether there is a competent alternative in the squad. I bet Dyche would love him to play any of our RB options there tomorrow against Hudson Odoi without the cover of the additional centre half.

On Hwang, it's all been said before. I don't believe the contract stuff because of Vitor, but what he's come out with there is just bollocks isn’t it
