Relegation Thread 2023/24

I saw a snippet of John Gregory on some podcast the other day. Still banging the same "how can you be depressed if you have that much money" drum that he was 25 years ago with Paul Merson and Stan Collymore. Berk.
Undr the Cosh is very hit and miss, some episodes are genuinely funny, others can be Neanderthal. I tend to see who it is and take a view on whether to listen. The last 2 have been Lee Howey and John Gregory so I haven't

Everton have turned their form around pretty well, I didn't expect them to.

Think it’s largely going to be Sheffield United, Burnley, Luton and Bournemouth scrapping it out. Maybe Palace and Fulham on the outskirts, but both of them have enough to see themselves safe.

He started yesterday but was hoiked before the hour. 32 games without a goal now.

Honestly, I hope he scores a late consolation goal at Molineux in a 4-1 Fulham loss and the whole of Molineux sings his name for fully five minutes. But he's spent in this division.

They’re really struggling for goals at the minute. 9 so far this season.

There was a little spell between like 97-2003, where you were getting a couple off sides in Serie A relegated who were only getting about half the points of the other sides just outside the relegation places. And I feel like we may start to see that.

Granted I felt this the other year when Fulham and some of others had that tragic start, but you can see a little split already forming.

The bottom 3 of the PL are all the promoted clubs and they’re very bottom 3.
Top 3/4 of the championship are the 3 relegated from last season.
Ipswich might find it a step to far next season also.

Be a travesty if they get their points deduction and all it costs them is a few million in PL prize money. They'd only be 4 points behind Luton with 2/3 of the season left.

I think the bottom 3 will likely stay as is now. I could see 25 points being enough for 17th to be honest.

You'd think Leicester and soton would make a better fist of it next season than the current bottom 3.
