Relegation run in 22/23 ** Now a Wolves free zone**

Don't think it's a given we pull ourselves clear at all. We have been much improved since Lopetegui took charge but when you score as few goals as we do you're always going to be running it close. Think we will be in the fight till right near the end.

Chelsea now 3-1 up on Leicester.

Palace being annoyingly Palace again

Palace so far zero shots on target in 3 games but might just fluke a point here

Wouldn't really be a fluke, they've defended well and City have been toothless.

Asleep at a corner as I type and penalty to City.

If you offer something in a attacking sense then no it’s not but they’ve done nothing

Could really do without Saints getting something today after yesterday

West Ham equalise with a penalty against Villa

Could be that you need closer to 38 points to stay up everyone’s picking up results here and there.

Other than Everton they are all going at around 1 PPG over the last 6 or so and are all at or behind 1 PPG for the season. So averages still aren’t suggesting it will be 38.

It’s just tighter this year because of how the league is at both ends. 9 teams genuinely in it for relegation and top 4/6 very open. Normally a massive gap between top 4/6 and the battle for 6th/7th

Fuck knows how this United game is 0-0. Either side could be two up

We are averaging a point per game even after writing off nearly half a season. I don't see how we won't continue to do that as a worse case and if we do we'll stay up even if it may remain uncomfortable. The lack of goals means we are unlikely to pull off into the distance.
Worth mentioning that after this post we've played 3 more games and got 3 more points. As frustrating as yesterday was we aren't going doing down with 38 points

Spurs hit the bar twice, if either one goes in we’d probably be looking at 0/3. It’s very fine margins and our lack of goals could still be our undoing. Performances of late have not been great so getting to 38 points is far from guaranteed.

And we should have played two thirds of the game yesterday a goal up against 10 men. You can't look at individual games, it needs a step back, the direction of travel is to 38 points. Not guaranteed, but likely

I think 36 will be safe.

Start of the weekend it was 23 to be relegated with 12 games to go. 1 ppg average puts that at 35 points.
