Relegation run in 22/23 ** Now a Wolves free zone**

I know you have the so called 'big 6' and then you have the rest, but it's still a surprise to keep seeing Brighton up there or thereabouts.
I mean Brighton?
No doubt what teams were saying about us a couple of seasons ago.

Brighton very well managed, finding players on the cheap, selling them to Chelsea for huge amounts and replacing them with more cheap players that Chelsea want.

Play some superb stuff at times and have replaced a manager they didn't want to lose without any issues. Fair fucks to them.

Not really, they're genuinely a very good team; top end recruitment and an excellent manager.

Mitoma, Mac Allister, Estupinan and Caicedo are top six quality players who cost relative buttons. Wish we had that kind of knowledge on board. Plus Ferguson up top now who is far better than any striker we've produced in-house in 20 years.

Watch Bournemouth fuck football right up this weekend (that's my wildcard...)
Nailed on stoppage time winner from Solanke. Put it on the board!

Mitoma is a fantastic player, I'd be amazed if he was still there come the start of next season.

Yep. Bissouma signed for about £15m, sold for £30m. Cucurella about £15m to join, £60m when he left. They even got most of their money back on Maupay having squeezed everything they could out of him.

Wouldn't budge on their ask for Caicedo either and rightly so.

Cucurella is the one, bought for about 16 and sold for 60 a year later. Astonishing price for the left back of a mid table side

£35m of that was for his hair.

City moving for him seemed to bump the price up and Chelsea, as they now are, went in higher

Ben Orange too, Academy and then sold for £50m. He'll never move anywhere for more than that.

He’s fucking dreadful as well if his performances I’ve seen for Chelsea are anything to go by

He means Ben White ya donut

(I had to look at transfer markt as I'd never heard of him either!)

Same! :ROFLMAO:

Google -

"Ben Orange"
"Ben Orange Brighton"
"Orange Brighton"

....

"Brighton transfer market"

We potentially could've had Estupinan, he was Watford's player but they barely used him for some reason - loaned him to Osasuna and he managed to get in the Liga team of the year (!)

Sold him when they got relegates iirc

Brighton lose Potter and everyone assumed they'd tumble down the table . Far from it .

They might be a very well run club , but their new Manager is having a big part to play in their continued success this season as well .

And in addition - like the excellent value they are getting when they acquire new players who few have heard of , it also applied to their new Manager . When he arrived I'm sure the first thing that most people did was click onto Wikipedia .

Brighton have their homework well done .
