Relegation 24/25 Thread

This is it proves the “tough fixture” brigade argument goes out the window

Started getting down about it for around 5 minutes then realised it’s irrelevant as we aren’t good enough regardless, surprisingly everything seems ok again.

You personally think it’s a foul as do some others, the point is many others don’t think it’s a foul regardless of how good a pundit or forum poster they are. The point is it’s proving to be very subjective to a point VAR intervention was not needed.
For consistency did you think the challenge by Dawson was fair in our build up to the second goal?
he took Semedo out.

Dawsons tackle was fair, however they get given more often than not, he was leaning back, Dawson moved he fell The one before i was surprised he never blew.

But as i have already said the ref never gave any of them as fouls all afternoon, he allowed plenty of tackles to go unpunished both sides.

Semedo knows full what he’s doing he steps across the Saints players path knowing full well it would initiate contact.
You’ve contradicted yourself by saying he let those sorts of tackles go all day but showed inconsistency for the disallowed goal.

No he let the Dawson and tackle before he never let a Semedo tackle go.

Semedo did not go into the Saints players path.
He saw the ball covered the ball as most defenders do to shield the ball away and clear, the attacker went straight through the back of him. Foul all day long.

The game has changed last 10 years. But even then the fact he clattered into him from behind was a foul then.

So you’re saying he shields the ball and is fouled from behind? So pretty much what happens in the build up to our second goal then? Reality is you either give both or neither.

No there was no contact in the 2nd. He shielded the ball leant back to gon into Dawson who moved the guy fell on his arse.

The one before was more of a Foul.

This is the season for us. Even when we pick up points team around us win. We are going down this season.

Well only Ipswich won other than us in the bottom 7.

He will get sacked after Bournemouth if we don’t win either before that as the crowd are just waiting to boil over.

Bit too despondent, that. Leicester and Palace lost and Everton just drew

Palace beat Spurs away the other week, now Ipswich have done it. I wouldn't back us to get a similar result in an away game like that at the moment. I really think we are very poor and we are going to rely on 3 teams being even worse and I just can't see it I'm afraid.

Big fan of the "ffs ref, why did you do us favour in this game" vibes

Can't think what would make folk more miserable - this win or the bookies favourite to replace GO when it was released.

Sorta. Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Villa and Chelsea are all waaaaaaay better than Tottenham
Are Newcastle and Forest? I think it’s a push saying Chelsea are way better, better but not by a chasm
