Yep. The only section of the population where Labour struggled was over 65s. But there's a lot of them and they all vote.

Can't be dismissed though, they were low income Labour voters who defected. Imagine being someone who at some point lost your industrial job in the 80's who now votes Tory? Easy to dismiss them as racists, but you have to get them back.

There are an estimated 27.8million households in the UK, suggesting No10's mooted saving is worth around £1.22 per household per year.

What will you spend that saving on?
