*Mild shock*
Well colour me shocked....
*Mild shock*
In contrast to well-rehearsed EU positions on issues such as the financial settlement and Irish borders, British officials admit they did not bring any prepared negotiating papers to share with their counterparts – insisting instead that their overall ambitions were made clear by the government’s white paper and Lancaster House speech.
The paper says the government will “work with the devolved administrations on an approach to returning powers from the EU that works for the whole of the UK and reflects the interests of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales” but does not go into specifics.
It says it aims to retain “as seamless and frictionless a border as possible” between Northern Ireland and the Republic, and wants Irish and UK citizens to be able to continue to move freely north-south and east-west, “while protecting the integrity of the UK’s immigration system”. Again, it does not say how.
Just another day in the THM spam thread.
It seems the random THM sentence generator is fully functional this morning...
I'm pretty sure they already know, I'm also pretty sure they're looking forward to financial services relocating from London to Frankfurt.
It's bullshit, every single reason. The apparent reduction in red tape? Any business who wants to sell in Europe is still going to have to abide by any EU regulations. When do we start saving any money? The cost of this is going to be fucking huge and I still don't know what the benefits are
To call me spam or a win, is not respectful and I would have thought better of you.
So THM when are you leaving the EU and moving back to the UK? Or you happy to say it stinks but still happy to live there because you know the UK is screwed big time

It's bull$#@!, every single reason. The apparent reduction in red tape? Any business who wants to sell in Europe is still going to have to abide by any EU regulations. When do we start saving any money? The cost of this is going to be $#@!ing huge and I still don't know what the benefits are
If England is in such as state as people make out here not to mention all the debt.
I don't know what a win is but I didn't call you spam. I said this is your spam thread, as in the one you post in the most and regularly. As in repeatedly posting your thoughts and concerns in this thread which has become your Mastermind topic.
Who has said this?
Look at the election thread. Oh and we are trillions in debt, whilst in the EU. Something ain't right is it?

I'm one away from a full house in today's EU bullshit bingo.
Ask if he likes the collar on the new kit.
One of the very few (and they are single digits in number) benefits I can see is the removal and dependence on the financial services. Jobs will migrate across the world but it will not make us any poorer and we could focus on an actual multifaceted economy that doesn't depend on a bunch of charlatans selling products nobody can explain and worse still benefiting from these products when the world crashes.
Protecting ourselves against another crash whilst providing a solid and wide ranging economy is an excellent way forward in my eyes.
