Who likes Black Pudding ?

Not me!!

As a kid I used to love it and would eat Black Pudding Sarnies (a Jnr Bear if you will) but after eating one batch I was violently ill and now just seeing the stuff makes feel ill

Lamp a load of mint sauce on it, should solve the problem.

Black pudding's alright in small doses, I wouldn't want loads of it on a plate and nor is it a standard item I order on a fry up. If it comes as part of a set menu thing I won't ask for it to be taken off.

I had a Scotch Egg with black pudding from Essington Farm Shop a couple of months ago, pretty good.

It really is one of those can't go near it or thats it for my stomach contents. Amazed my mind has kept it up for 30 years but I had a reminder last Thursday, after my Gran's funeral, that the Pudding is a no no, even just to look at.

That's unfortunate. You've unwittingly conditioned your brain to associate black pudding with throwing up. Not much you can do now unless you wabt to go through a long process of reconditioning. Not worth it for some dried pig's blood.

When I was a student I used to quite like a vodka and Red Bull (oi oi etc). Very quickly went off it when I started working in a pub and had to mop down tables encrusted in the stuff, the smell of it thereafter made me want to vom. A bastard to clean as well.

I'd imagine Red Bull would get like tar once it's dried.

I can understand that. Years ago I was violently ill after having eaten Fajitas, Guacamole and sour cream . Whether it was actually that that made me ill or if
I'd just got a tummy bug from somewhere, but I always associate it with fajitas, and Guacamole and sour cream and even seeing a picture of them can make me feel sick.

Also the smell of Pernod can make me physically vom.

With you there. From being violently ill on Pernod and Black as a youngster. Pernod and Campari are just about the only two alcoholic drinks (tell a lie - three as Advocaat is fucking disgusting) that I cannot drink.

I choose not to drink Scotch. It isn't that I don't like it. It likes me FAR too much, and when we get close I become an even more colossal cunt than usual.

My two are Pernod and Tia Maria, violently ill on both occasions and enough to put me off for life.

I do like a good Scotch, but never drunk enough of it that I've behaved like a cunt ! I'm also partial to the odd Snowball every now and again :)

I once drank a bottle of Scotch watching a film with my dad and then woke up in the morning with no recollection of thumping him in the face several times during a stupid argument. It makes me become a deeply unpleasant aggressive person, which is odd as on just about anything else I am a very happy drunk.

That's why, bar an occasional Jack Daniels (and I mean occasional) I haven't drunk Scotch in over a decade.

I like Black Pudding but the fact that it's a big wedge of blood does bother me slightly. I just lump a load of brown sauce on it.

As for being sick, I cannot go near squid after foolishly eating it the night before wedding and having food poisoning on my wedding day (or Squidgate as it became known). Great fun that was.

Thats scary, when you can't remember your actions after drinking :(

I'm usually a happy chatty little soul when i've got a few inside me, but then one minute I can be in the middle of a sentence, then the next I fall asleep !

Who likes Black Pudding ?
No way.
Who thinks The Bear is a Culinary Oddball ?
Everybody, pretty much I thought? :)

Thing that turns my stomach is whiskey. Any variety. Entered a drinking contest the once years ago. Everyone else had a full stomach. I hadn't eaten for hours. Cue a night vom ing into a mop bucket. Never ever again.
