When I worked in the old peoples home and I was put on toilet duty on Christmas afternoons after they had all had sprouts, stuffing and gorged themselves on chocolates that ' kind ' relatives had bought. Nightmare !!

Not a real one. Gas fire with the look of a real fire. Was installed by the previous owners. There are 2, one in the living room, and one in the music room. In anticipation of future questions, yes, socks will be hung on them! I have one of the wolves socks. Have to say the fires do look nice, & am looking forward to them being part of things this christmas.

Yes. Working 9-5 means that weekends or late nights are the limited options. Fuck weekends for a game of soldiers! Late nights will (imo) generally have slightly less queues/people about than daytime or weekends.

My Mom was a district nurse, so every other year she had to work, so we couldn't open our presents until she got home, mine and my brothers faces pressed against the front window just waiting for her
