QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Parkin, memorable as in ;

You can still remember it to this day.
It made your toes curl.
You wanted it to last forever
It made your stomach flip and your willy twitch. That kind of memorable.

To be fair it was with Mary whilst Joseph was out, immaculate conception my arse :)

Unfortunately none that get to that level then.

The only one that sticks in my memory is at the end of a Bank Christmas party when I was asst admin manager of a very large branch in Guildford & where approx. 70% of the staff were female. My boss & I had rigged mistletoe all round the security door that every one had to get out through at the end - we wouldn't let any female staff out without a kiss, mind you every one was fairly inebriated (including us) so some of the men might have got the same treatment :icon_wink:

Not sure we would get away with that now days, though if anyone objected they weren't forced (don't remember that any did though)

What time do you normally eat your Christmas day meal ?

Now that we have the little one, about 12.30. Gives me plenty of time to make room for Turkey sandwiches and pickles in the evening.

Do you open presents first thing on the morning or later in the day ?

We let Belle have presents first thing, then the wife and I open ours after breakfast.

Should PPB hold back on the Christmas questions until at least December 1st?

No way! It's only about 5 weeks away :)

Do you prefer ya pork pie with egg in it or not ?

A hard boiled egg makes pretty much any meal better. I love hard boiled eggs :)

Three types of cream on the Christmas Pudding. Clotted, double and ice. It's the Devonian way into which I have married :d

Always worth another mention. It's a #gamechanger

Stage 2 involves substituting the double cream for Brandy Cream.

Norway, how come you don't have Christmas Day there ?

We have it,it's just less important than the Eve.Most,if not all the 'non-english' world seem to believe Christmas Eve is when Jesus was born...I think. :)

So your Christmas Day is on Christmas Eve ?

We have Christmas Day,but it's just a day off, same as Boxing Day...nothing important.

So do people go to work on the 25th ?

Only people who HAVE to work keeping us warm and safe, the unimportant ones like me just chill.

How do you get your presents on Christmas Eve day when Santa only works the night shift ?

It's a mystery to us all,we just don't know.

I dont think id like to live in Norway, no Christmas Day, cold beds, and frozen pizza's !

Don't blame you, although that sounds pretty standard for a penguin. :)

Christmas Eve being the big thing is clearly a Scandinavian aberration as its the same for my sister in Denmark

Fixed it for you. :)

Pretty sure most of mainland Europe agrees with the crazy Scandies...

Christmas Pudding is rank.

Do the Germans still watch that silly Dinner For Two every year, or whatever it's called?

Would like a combination of the Scandinavian Christmas Eve meals, which are legendary (with various toasts with Aquavit) + the UK Christmas Day Dinner (good traditional fare) - though doubt I would be able to move for a week after

Dinner For One? Yes, every New Year's Eve. No accounting for taste.

They feast themselves silly here on Christmas eve, and then they do it all again on Christmas day. Prezzies are opened on the 24th once the kids have gone to bed, at some point between the eigth and ninth course.

Once Christmas week is over I can barely walk any more.
