Very sorry if I rub anybody up the wrong way here but what mawkish bollocks. If the game is on the 10th/11th November then sure pay respects but doing it two weeks in advance because they/we won't be playing the weekend of Remembrance Sunday is needlessly OTT.

Are the Football League running out of referees or something? We've already had Fuckface Martin twice in about five weeks and tomorrow's ref also took charge of our games against Bristol Rovers and Burton (there was not much to note from him in the former game, had no choice with the red card and nothing controversial springs to mind).

Completely agree. But it's virtue signalling. It's now illegal not to do it

Other than not booking a Burton player after about 2 mins for clattering through Costa he was fine. In fact the Burton fans were going mad at him for most of the game for "giving us everything".
