Pre-Season Games 2018

Jinks with backtracking that would make Roger Johnson blush

Didn't expect to get many bites on my line, but the big fish are coming out to play this evening!

:icon_lol:

Its a classic double bluff from the little man

Best moment of the match, prawn sandwich family behind us spent the whole game talking inane shit. Culminated in the woman complaining her back was hurting from standing, guy next to us turned round and said 'shame it ay your tongue'
Sounds very familiar to a woman I come across (fnarr) last season.

We still unbeaten in pre-season? (90 mins)

Frank comes out with that shit and we send him to the seventh circle of hell.

Just sayin...

Back to the game and not appalling gif's. Goncalves looks ready for the Prem, quality little player. I really don't want to see Danny Batth trying 60yd balls from sweeper as he really can't do it, not even in white boots.

When Benny sorts his feet out he's pretty good.

Rui Patricio is a God.

Ha, batth's 60 harder straight out of play was terrible. Thought he looked ok apart from that.

Watt looked decent when he came on too, Oskar is never going to make it here. John looked pretty good too, though i thought Giles looked very at home at LWB, Ince was not in the game at all.

Really like the look of Benny - fast, strong skillful and a good shot. Would have been a really good goal.

Bright was bright sadly, a world beater right up to the final decision.

Boly might have a knock, he was there but never changed out of the travelling kit.

That's three pre-season matches without conceding a goal...but also three without scoring one, writes Tim Spiers at the bet365 Stadium.

Yes Sunday's H-Hotels Cup was split into two 45-minute fixtures but there's no escaping the fact that since the 4-0 demolition of Young Boys in Switzerland, Wolves have gone a little goal-shy.

A Ruben Neves penalty is all they've mustered in the last 270 minutes and while every single sentence in this analysis could be signing off with the phrase 'but it's only pre-season', there will still be a slight concern for Nuno in how his team have lost the fluency and creativity they showed in two matches in Switzerland.

TWF are going to LOVE the opening of Tim’s write up this evening if the response to my light-hearted post earlier is anything to go by... :icon_lol:

Nah...He put a smiley face at the end and we all lol'd at it. Top bantz from Timmy II

It’s only “top bantz” if you suggest getting something for free of stick a ‘J’ at the start of a word. Sorry big man xx

In reply to TimII rather than Jinky. We are clearly using pre season for fitness, shape and little else at the moment. Up until the Leicester game we did the same last year.

The team that started yesterday was probably 4 light of our current starting 11 and then we took one of the other 7 off after 30 mins. Those at the game including Timmy himself before he got his rod out said it was half paced from both sides.

Derby seem to be results focused, in as much as anyone really is in pre season, so Saturday will be a stiffer test should we choose to engage. Another goalless draw or odd goal defeat wouldn't be cause for alarm though as long as it comes injury free. You simply aren't going to play with the intensity we do in a kickabout.

Burnley scored 36 goals and finished 7th last season. I’m not sure we’ll have too many troubles scoring that many.

At what point do we debate how solid we have been at the back in pre-season? #nunoout

Also, if i ever post on here again about maybe going to a mid-week evening preseason friendly feel free to call me an idiot.

I'll add it to the list. DW is on there, we have to section him if he goes to somewhere in winter.

Oldham.

Not that likely to be an issue any time soon tbf.

Derby today, hoping to see some Moutinho magic

Just to double check:

Derby Game - Derby TV only?

Villareal game - Wolves TV (overseas only) + some overseas channels?
