Pets

I had a Golden Retriever puppy that chewed through the wallpaper and plasterboard in the kitchen and made a hole into the dining room, in one night. Luckily, the hole wasn't quite big enough for him to get through.

Chewing is normal for a puppy. Give them a chew toy immediately after eating food for five minutes. Blue Kong range for puppies is fine. Try and keep puppy on a grain free diet and low additives. That way they don’t get too hyperactive and are less likely to chew. Get a crate and encourage your puppy to use it as their safe space. Praise when they go in or even a small treat. That’s where they spend the night. If you live in an area that gets loud noises such as fireworks, find a you tube video of fireworks and have it as background while you play with your puppy. Turn the volume low to start with and gradually increase to desensitise the puppy from fireworks and loud noises. Get a pee post and encourage your puppy to soil near the pee post and praise when they do. It’s much easier to let your dog out for a quick wee if they are trained where to go. Guide dogs can be trained to 💩 in a box to make pick up easy!
social classes and car rides as soon as you are allowed. Good luck! Boundaries are needed for jumping up and jumping on furniture. Again you tube videos will give you good instructions

Got the dog 'done' today. He's 5 so a bit old for it, but his behaviour over the last few months outside the house has made it a necessity. As I took him he won't even look at me

Sadly, I had to have my cat of 14 years put to sleep on Friday just gone. She had kidney failure. Sad times.
Sorry to hear this - mine is 12 or 13 (no one's quite sure) and she will go at some point.

Some say that a cat is not that engaged or affectionate, but thats not true - Molly still comes up the the drive to welcome me home if I have been out

What is it with cats and boxes. You buy them lovely beds but they would rather sleep in an Amazon box 😂

They're just curious creatures. Anything new they can squeeze into they will.

Make a square with tape on the floor. They will sit inside the "box"...

The one went and sat in the square straight away. The other one looked at me like I was saft.

They like being in the dark, but with an escape route - the amount of time mine spends in the wardrobe or under the bookcase in the lounge is unfathomable.

She's been traumatised for the last 3 days as having the bathroom completely ripped out & refitted - load of noise etc. She's been under the bed all day!
