Paul Lambert Leaves Wolves

Lambert was clearly only a short term answer initially to put right the Zenga failure.

For all we know if he had done really well then he might have been offered a 3 yr contract now - he didn't so he wasn't & they have gone and got someone they think will do the job they want.

Strange we've abandoned the rolling 12-month concept. Seems much fairer all round.

New way of working innit. A year of using the Moxey handbook and now that has been binned by Fosun.

I have it from a reliable source that they'd decided to sack him at end of season several weeks before.

No need for sources on that. Darymple said as much when we introduced Nuno and then the Porto President said Nuno resigned for the Wolves job. Since he did that weeks before Lambert was pushed it doesn' need an ITK to work it out.

In that case why was there so much speculation regarding his position after the end of the season ?
I don't recall anyone posting to this effect - I only posted now because I was in UK with a friend who had a conNecton with a current members of staff.

Until Fosun sacked him all we had was the press speculation, started by Lambert.

After we replaced him Wolves basically confirmed what you said at the weekend and along with Porto quotes to double confirm. Your source was correct...might want to get him to feed you the info before the club release it though...could have done with the ITK news 4-5 weeks ago to give us something to talk about.

Sorry but didn't get to discuss till last Wednesday- apparently the decision to get rid was taken shortly after the cup match !
That was how disappointed they were with him with results (cup wins aside). You would assume from that they Then sounded out Nino

Pat Mountain leaves Wolves to take up a new coaching role at Hull City

See ya Pat, thanks for the 8 or so years

We've got a new GK coach haven't we? I think Murray does some work with our academy already
