As time has gone on the club have used it less as a genuine forum and more as a semi-handpicked sounding board for their great ideas. If the reaction is poor then they get shelved, this doesn't happen very often as it is (and always has been) at least two thirds comprised of sycophants and/or dicks who fancy getting their name on the official website with their brilliant question about why we didn't sign Scott Dann or why was my pie cold at the Charlton game Jez.

I don't personally think there is any point in the forum being formally represented any longer as it serves no end. Our fans have no perspective, if the results are good then everything is fine and no need to change anything Jez, if results are bad then it's impotent rage and impossible questions/rants that are never going to get a constructive answer. I remember the first meeting last season when we were in the top two of League One (yes, League One, third tier of English football, place we haven't darkened in 25 years, etc etc) and because we were winning games all the pertinent issues regarding WHY we are at that level had all been forgotten. So the club got to sweep it all under the carpet. Also with the way the format has evolved there is ever decreased (and decreasing) opportunity to ask any questions that the forum as a whole may want answering, there is very little back and forth between whoever is sat at the front alongside Jez and those on the floor. The floor time gets swamped with the same old nonsense all the time. I bet the same old bores are still moaning about the coffee facilities on the official travel club coaches like they were in 2006.

The initial aims of it when it was set up nine (bloody hell, I am getting on) years ago are very different to what it has become now. However if anyone really wants to give up their time for a few nice sandwiches and a few scant mentions of embargoed information (but don't ever reveal it publicly, or off with your Jacobs) then don't let me put you off.

Not a fan then. I agree with pretty much all of that by the way. If I had a vote I would say bin TWF involvement completely but that is down to you members. What do you want us to do?

To clarify, I am very much in favour of structured interaction between a wide cross section of our support and the club, with clearly defined aims on both sides behind having such a dialogue. Should actually happen more often than bi-monthly or whatever the current Fans' Parliament schedule is.

I am not in favour of what the Fans' Parliament is now and was already becoming when I stopped going which was in 2008. I don't see the balance going back towards Position A because the club know they will get takers for the current set up and they can say "well, we do listen".

Oh, and the self-interest of the majority of these people is astonishing. Most of them are season ticket holders, understandable of course. If you ever try broaching the subject of reducing non-season ticket matchday prices and thereby theoretically reducing the value of their investment in a season ticket (whatever the fuck that means) they are completely against it. No chance. They won't budge. This is completely contrary to what the majority of fans - including season ticket holders - actually think. We had a discussion on here which reflected that not so long ago and virtually no-one I have ever spoken to in person is bothered what the bloke sitting next to them has paid. In fact if you ever suggest anything that impacts on their gilded status as The Fans Who Should Be Listened To Above All Others they do not want to know. Pull the ladder up Jack is the prevailing attitude, it pissed me off then and it pisses me off now - chiefly because the club listen to them and this is a key reason why we still have a ticketing structure that is stuck in the 1960s and unfit for modern purpose. They aren't interested in protecting the future growth of our fanbase, or attracting lapsed fans back to the ground, or anything inventive or dynamic.

I'm no fan of the Parliament. However For me I would put it to a vote. The rep represents the members so it seems only fair that the members decide.

I also think this forum should keep a rep, purely to piss off Molineux Way.

I don't see how there's any tangible benefit from us having a rep, but if any individual really wants to do it then I can't see any harm in it either (except maybe to the individual who has to suffer them).

I feel its important to have a seat at the table with a view to changing the debate from those same old tired rubbish thats been mentioned previously. The ability to abstain should be used when self interested parties wish to continually pursue those same old clapped out tripe that gets frequently discussed.
How do you move the agenda to whats really important?

You just don't really. There are certain parliament members who are very very vocal. The other problem you get is when you get a new rep who asks loads of questions that are just a re-tread of old ground covered before they joined.

The only parliament meeting that I attended that was really electric was the one where Morgan turned up. Apart from that they have just become a round table of the same tired points. As I say, if someone wants to do it, great, and I will pass their details on to the club. I however don't think the forum particularly gains anything from having a rep.

I would rather the Forum had a rep, purely to add an alternative take to the official minutes. That said, I personally wouldn't want to do it and understand why no one else would. If anyone does replace Paddy, could they please ask Jez when The Liquidator will be coming back please?

The minutes support this view, Early Bird for none season ticket holders is alright, but they want an extra special deeper discount. Self interested pricks. I gave my ST up 2 years ago as family, holidays and work meant it stopped being a saving versus a MyWolves membership, so it doesn't affect me, but it still is annoying to read such pomposity

Cool, obviously it will have the time on it too, which is handy as I always lose my sense of time at Molineux. Even when the old clock was on the roof of the old North Bank, I couldn't see it or didn't pay attention to it when we kicked off after HT, meaning I never knew exactly how long was left.

Which makes me wonder, where is the old clock now?

I agree. As a (soon to be ex-) member I have argued before about why the hell does it matter if someone else gets a good deal, but there are people who just won't accept it. Frustrating.
