Good to see Pedro back but would have thought he'd have given Raul another shot with some better support in the team.

Mainly the wing backs playing against who they are. Slightly victim of circumstance as clearly doesn’t want both Jonny and Neto starting at same time yet.

the front three is sound in theory but I can see us getting swamped by their midfield and getting brushed aside by their defenders too

Palace are well coached. Beat us comfortably last time really too

Why?

We'll lose the battle in midfield with our 2 against their 3, the wing backs won't offer enough creatively and Hoever won't offer the protection needed against Zaha leaving Kilman isolated

I think Hwang, Neto, and Podence is the most dynamic front three we can play. I'm quite optimistic, actually.

Teams fine if they play to feet. If they start limping it up it’s coming straight back . Play ten yards higher and play on the front foot and it will be fine. Play like we did last week and we get nothing. Over to you players

For me, in playing three at the back, wing backs are absolutely pivotal to the system.

And both these wing backs are crap.

Of course, we could win 3-0 and I could be proved wrong but my initial reaction is one of reservation.

We just don’t look anywhere near the same team without Semedo and RAN at the back.

That WB’s leave us exposed defensively and very blunt going forward. Neither are particularly good at either unfortunately.
Predicting a drab 0-1 here.

We'll get outnumbered in midfield, isolated up front and the wingbacks will be fullbacks

Hoever can't be helped, really, and I don't think Marcal is nearly as bad as he's being made out to be.
