Palace (H), 22/11/25, 3pm - Build Up & Match Thread

Palace will win the game, their quality is better than ours in every single position and by a distance. The only way we get something is by defending well and getting a set piece in a good area.

JSL and Tolu need assistant, Muntesi not is that type of player...
Andre-Gomes are to weak to play defensive, no have a lot speed and power to recovery balls.
Toti-Wolfe are the worse convination, they leave all time the mark to try cover other, and make a lot mistakes.

For me the lineup of this second period:

----------------- Tolu(scorer)---------------
Larsen(Scorer)------------------------FerLo
-------Bellegarde-----------Gomes---------
--------------------Andre--------------------
Wolfe------Krejci-------Abgadou---Jackson

That Look like a 4-3-3, but sometimes Tolu and Larsen run to right, and made a 4-4-2. And FerLo is left feet to made good centers to area.

Bellegarde-Gomes-Andre + Sometimes FerLo Down are better MF vs only 2 MF+Muntesi. Move better the ball.

Jackson-Wolfe play defensive, but simetimes 1 up help and another stay down.

Need play ofensive and put best center and assist on area. Dont try play all time with long balls, need use the best MFs to move the ball and presoure up to get fast the ball and all time put centers on area.

Think you’re broadly right, but it’s not totally men against boys this time at least. The lack of creativity, or basic technical ability in some (not all) positions, is still something to behold. Replacing Munetsi is a way to address that, but it’s hard to see it happening until we are behind.

Shout out to the Lino in front of me. A host of poor decisions as he’s simply unable or too lazy to keep up with play.

This is horrible. It's a right effing shambles.

As far as I can see the defence is exactly the same as in recent games.

1. There appears to be zero awareness that opposition attackers move around and behind us.
2. There's far too much static ball watching.
3. There is nobody organising our defence.
4. Tchatchoua and Wolfe. Nothing just nothing.
5. Palace have had plenty of opportunities as Chelsea did in both games and they are in complete control.

Sadly, I simply cannot see Palace not stepping up in the second half after they have had a chat at HT.

As for the attack, it's like playing two Derek Dougans after he was past it and with no John Richards, Steve Daley, Willy Carr or Kenny Hibbitt - just two older versions of Mike Bailey.

Aarrggh. And, we start again with sloppy play from Toti!
